Mark, I was trying to avoid the setlists, i wouldn't know what songs they would have to leave out

Slane did had snipptets. Two Tribes on UTEOTW... cutted out , snippet on One and WOWY left in.

  2. yeah, i meant snippets of other bands, so that would only be Two Tribes and When Will I See You Again, even with them its still less that your standard U2 gig,

    True
  4. they'll want the DVD out for Xmas so it'll def be on the European tour, thats normally why they do it early (Boston/Chicago) so the DVD is out for the Xmas markets...

Wembley makes sense... many people are filming there Oasis/Muse amongst others
  5. Who says just one DVD? If anyone's noticed, Elevation and Vertigo both had two DVDs. Also, the European ones came later. Much later. But, this tour is different. How so? They opened in Europe, for starters. Also, the number of gigs for the first two legs combined is 44 if nothing gets cancelled. U2 playing in the snow? I wouldn't doubt that with the New England weather and Gillete. Enough of the sillyness. My point is, they have 44 shows to choose from, maybe. We're assuming that they're putting out a DVD by the holiday season, which is probably right.

    Europe:

They have better odds, right? They do, this time. Most cities are getting two shows, a perfect chance for the band to film two nights, take the better one, mesh in some little bits from selection number two, and create a DVD. Makes sense? Sure does. Plus there's more time to pick one with their break before the second leg. What show though? That's up to the band and the crowds.

    US:

We're lucky bastards, aren't we? We got Vertigo glory, Elevation glory, and much more. But luck runs dry. Europe's got the advantage, so it means our gravy train is over. Or is it? Toronto and New York are the ONLY ONLY ONLY places where there are two shows at one venue. Boston, well technically Foxborough this time around, has a PopMart gig that wasn't released but was Pro-Shot. As for Chicago, don't they have Vertigo? Unless U2 play their best show ever and claim it was "their best ever", there's a slim chance that will make it as the DVD. Better luck next tour.

My case in point is even though America is a huge market, the economy sucks. U2 can put out an amazing DVD from whereever, but it HAS to be good. Boston sucked, Chicago did too. As for PopMart, didn't that come out on DVD like a few years ago? My point is, U2 can't suck this time, because if they do, the fans won't be happy.

Europe for the win, signed, U2 fan from America.

P.S. - See you at Wembley,
    With love, Pete the Chop
  6. Elevation glory belongs to Slane Castle.
  7. Welmbley makes most sense if Croke is not a good place to film. 2 nights and a massive stadium.

Cardiff would be good though (ok, I know I'm biased) because the crowd go nuts and it's a big place + they can shut the roof (can they?? with the spire??) if the weather is poor.
  8. U2 arn't normallly ones to follow the trend of other bands, so i'm not convinced it will be wembley, i think maybe Paris is in for a shout

Don't think so. Dan, it is VERY huge. Trust me.

They released a Paris DVD less than 2 years ago...
