1. If they play the same basical set again with perhaps Desire and ES, then their back catalogue is far from huge this tour.

Gotta agree with Drew here, just give it some time, it'll work itself out

They still havent figured out their baseline setlist structure yet. Opener and closer are a little weak. Middle section a little dreary. They are gonna have to nail this setlist first (especially the new songs) and then, and only then can they consider seriously shaking it up. New songs mean new lighting effects etc and these don't just appear. It will change, but not immediately.

For now though, drop WOWY and MOS as a closer and make a new encore

The setlist really isnt great though, as youve pointed out there are issues with the beginning, middle and the end??

My problem is the total lack of up-tempo, 'rocking' tunes. All seems a bit dreary and slow! 'New Years Day', 'The Fly'. 'UTEOFW', 'Zoo Station', 'I Will Follow', 'Out Of Control' etc, etc, are all missing! Walk On is beyond boring, Unknown Caller is the same.Pride has been played to death and WOWY is performed on auto-pilot! Breathe is a great song but nowhere near the same andreneline rush as an opener as Elevation or Vertigo, and the omission of anything from ZOO or POP??? Where are the 'WOW' moments?? Without sounding like a right moan, it really does look like it could be an underwhelming experience (well, as far as U2 shows go!!!)

And MOS as a closer.....?? Its not the classic songs that they seem to think (imo), and is too slow and long to play live.
  5. Anyone know when the bootleg will surface for this one? Please.

    Thank you

  6. The show ended not even 20 hours ago...

Agreed on all points other than Unknown Caller which reallt is great.

This is still an immature setlist remember. Give it a chance and it will be tweaked to perfection.

  8. And now you see my reason for leaving Acrobat if it is gonna be played, for a little while. Cos if even one chord or note is off...

Well seeing as youve seen the show 'live', ill take your word for it about 'Unknown Caller'. Not a bad song, just not a favourite of mine.

Im sure they will throw a few surprises in over the course of the tour, but i cant see any radical changes to the overall 'feel' of the gigs.

Anyhow, UF and UV are sounding great, delighted they are in the set.

Its hard not to be selfish and 'demand' all your favs, but with all the great 30 years worth of songs they have, they could surely have a tad more imagination!
  10. The Patrol is on stage now.
