1. I'm enjoying it all so far, especially Electrical Storm. I'm going to try and get my hands on a $30 ticket for Chicago 2 just so I can make sure I can see it...doubt it'll happen with my family, though, so I'm hoping they play it on the first night in Chicago. I Will Follow would be a great addition, and I wouldn't mind saying so long to One and With Or Without You (unless they add the Shine Like Stars snippet). I love I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, but I'm not sure if it's a great song live or not. I definitely want to hear Bad at some point, and I agree with everyone else that this stage cries out for a little HMTMKMKM, Discotheque, Elevation, LNOE, Zoo Station, Mysterious Ways, The Fly, etc. Whatever they bring out will be stellar.

Stand Up Comedy would be great live...I wish they would get around to playing that soon.

Oh, and they teased us so damn much with Drowning Man, I want them to play it at least once.
  2. Hmmmm.... let's see.
One song not played for 20 years (TUF)
One song not played for 16 years (UV)
One song not played at all (Electrical Storm)
    New album getting good coverage.

I really can't knock the guys for freshening things up, BUT....

SBS, One and WOWY and Pride not doing it for me. They sound really tired.

Fly, Bad, Mofo, Hold Me... to replace them.

Bring back the Beautiful Day snippets....
  3. to much ROLL not enough ROCK.
  4. I completely agree about WOWY (unless it has the Shine Like Stars and Love WIll Tear Us Apart snippets) and One, might agree about Pride, but completely disagree about SBS. It sounded fresh and rocker in Barcelona, and the crowd really enjoyed it. It's a must, it was their real first hit and it's a great song, moreover most of the fans haven't heard it 400 or 500 as we bootleg collectors have, so it's a nice moment in every concert. I enjoyed it much more than the other overplayed hits.

They are, Here Comes The Sun is a snippet isn't it? If you mean Sgt Pepper and so, i agree completely Best snippet ever, probably.

    Yeah that's what I meant....and Blackbird!
  6. Sure, I wished more 90's too. If I had to say the set would be for 90% out of 90's stuff lol...but I'm okay with this
The setlist is brilliant. Tell me one tour where they had better setlists.

If you say Elevation you win, otherwise you lose lol...

Every tour had its up and downs. Elevation had great songs like Gone and The Fly for example, but they didnt had UV and TUF. Popmart's only downside was the lack of variation, Zoo TV is best I think.

I will follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, NYD.
  10. This setlist definitely has its ups and downs. The opening is pretty mediocre for me, Breathe just seems to lack intensity and GOYB and Magnificent just arn't really up to scratch. That said, NLOTH has been fantastic so far, one of the highlights of the show in my opinion. I'd love to hear them open with Being Born and then follow that up with NLOTH.

In the middle, I think Unknown Caller, Vertigo, TUF, and COBL are a good choice and I hope those songs remains regulars in the set. I also think In a Little While is a great inclusion although I hope they don't play it everynight. For me, Party Girl has been a highlight so far. It is one of the few U2 songs which captures the band the fun element of the band and it still sounds very fresh. Let's hope Bono learns the lyrics now! lol They could change things around a little from night to night aswell by playing WGRYWH or even Windows...

As for SBS, Pride, Streets and One, well I suppose they have to be played. Personally I would want Streets everynight, and SBS most nights but I could live without pride and One. Even if the just varied this part of the set to include Bullet or NYD from time to time it would freshen up the whole set.

I don't think that the encore is as bad as many people have been saying, I think it could be longer though. Ultraviolet sounds great and I hope they continue to play it, but I think they could do The Fly or UTEOTW or Acrobat (if it has been rehearsed) as well. I also think that WOWY in its present form, isn't anything special. Replacing it with All I Want Is You or Love is Blindness.
  11. It's ok till now, alway hard to please everyone off course. As a tour is to promote the new album, logically there's much from there. TUF is brilliant, but don;t like the stay now stay now part, play it as it's supposed to be. WOWY had it;s best time, but ok, as AB is my fav album would love to see more from that, so am very happy with UV. Anyway, still happy they're around and tour the world, it's so easy for them to say that's it and bye. We should enjoy every minute they play live, as one day that will be over, and what memories it will be, looking back over all that years.

Zoo Tv Rotterdam 93, Popmart Dublin 97, Receiving honour citizenship of Dublin concert 1999 Dublin, Elevation Arnhem 2001, 3x Vertigo Amsterdam 2005

  12. Isn't it enough with four 'oh-oooh' songs in the set?

I think they realized that and dropped it, thank god.
