at 04:00 this morning I was back home from Paris (went by car after all, had a nice afternoon in Paris before going to "Pelouse Debout" (field standing) in this huge stadium). My friend and I had a great night. I found crowd participation quite good actually. Offcourse it wasn't a dutch crowd, but overall, there was a lot of energy in the stadium.
I was quite blown away with the performance at some moments. Its true that you have to experience the first 4 songs live. The bootlegs I heard so far didn't excite me all that much, but when you are actually AT the concert it is strikingly good! Even Boots, which on the album I dont love that much, comes really alive![]()
The disappointment was that I didn' get to see Electrical Storm live. Hope they will play it in Gelsenkirchen..
And the link up to the int. spacestation was really boring. Even worse: it wasn't even a live link, because Bono said: this is what we recorded earlier...
Pride is completely on the automatic pilot and doesn't do much for me in this form nowadays. Hope they replace that one.
Moment of Surrender is awesomely good as a closer, but again, you have to see that to believe it. Larry singing on that one is really moving!
Best bit is without a doubt Unforgettable Fire!!!! I actually cried during UF: fantastic performance!
At 23.35 my 18th U2 concert was all over. Overall the experience was as mindblowing as ever. Nothing beats attending the concert, not even the best soundboard recording.
Very curious to see what they come up with tonight. Unfortunately I'm not in Paris now, but in front of my laptop again.

Not one of the favourtite tracks of AB, and falls in the same category as Pride, WOWY, One for live shows.
