exactly. I was talking with my friend about that. Bush didn't exactly set the bar very high, so maybe we should just be glad that we haven't started a war with Venezuela yet.

And I guess I was referring more to the people here in the US in everyday conversation, not the postings here @ U2start. It's just horribly uncool to find any fault with Obama over here still, and I think a lot of people are afraid to do so because it will come across as not giving a black guy a chance. My own 2 cents...

That was cold. Just because I like guns, anjd the death penalty dont make me nuts. I have many conflicting opinons. I belive I guns, the death penalty, free health care, abortions only in special ocasions, and helping other countrys in need. I consider myself a independent. I used to be a liberal, but I'm disulliosoned with the democratic party.

Cold? You're the one that likes guns, those little things that can take anyone's life.
Remember Bono's speech on Boston DVD?

America is making war on itself...

There's too much violence in USA, I personally couldn't live in a country where anyone can carry and use a gun...

Yeah I get you - just put it this way, at this rate I'd take Bush over Brown lol, and that's saying something...at least one can have a laugh with Bush in charge (even if it's the kind of nervous laugh that precedes the apocalypse) but with Brown you don't even get that. Miserable bastard.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad. Does it make you miss Blair?

  5. Not really, I don't really like either lol. I just live in hope of the Lib. Dems. one day getting into power, but that's all one can really do unfortunately. I'm actually more concerned with the 'success' of the British National Party (if you weren't aware, they're the country's leading party when it comes to racist/homophobic/sexist/right-wing tendencies, lovely bunch) and hoping people get their act together to stop them as opposed to what happens with those in power, since we're not going anywhere anyway so we might as well put some effort stopping the bad shit even if we're not getting anything going on another front.

The majority of guns purchased legally, will never be used in a crime. Bono, talks too much. As a resident of a small redneck town, where virtually everyone owns at least one gun, let me say for the record, that the only crimes we ever have around here, are drunk driving, and date rape. Do thoses have anything to do with guns? Also, I just want to state for the record that going to the shooting range is quite fun.

  7. My point exactly.
  8. If I'm more tempermental than usual, its because my asshole father, found my facebook acount. He's trying to get in touch with me. I told him, fuck off, I dont care. He's never done a single good thing for me my whole life.
  9. I blocked the acount he was using. Its only a matter of time before he makes another one though. (he was using a friends acount)

  10. That doesnt sound like anything you have to share with us, might be a good idea to keep such stuff for yourself...
  11. What do you guys think of this whole Cambridge Police scandel? It sounds to me, like both Prof. Gates, and Sgt. Crowley, atcted inapropiately.

Indeed, that's interesting. I haven't paid attention to British news for a while. Pardon if I should be more informed, but is New Labor even New Labor, anymore? (Not like I thought they were progressive enough, but still...) I'd be interested in how you would explain the rise of 'extreme' right-wing parties in Europe?
