People won't flip out if they don't hear it as badly as they would if they went to a U2 concert and didn't hear Streets, for example...and getting to hear something like HMTMKMKM, Elevation, Mofo, Discotheque, UTEOTW, ABOY (okay, maybe not), Elevation, The Fly, Zoo Station, Last Night on Earth, something...(this stage just screams for a few of those)...and Bad, of course...would make up for it, I think.

That's a very nice list. I don't like Crazy Tonight remix though ... play it in the album version and play Discothéque as a remix. But I have a list too:

    01. Get On Your Boots (with a specific intro, with national anthems, not the Ode of Joy)
    02. Magnificent (the single edit)
    03. Speech (Bono thanks the crowd to come etc...) / Beautiful Day
    04. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For segues into
    05. If God Will Send His Angels (full band, but not the full song, played until the second chorus)
    06. One (energetically, Bono isn't play the guitar, but sings Hear Us Coming Lord at the end)
    07. (Bono and Adam disappear Larry and Edge on the stage) Numb (at the middle of the song Adam and Bono joins - Adam plays the bass - Bono sings the fat lady voice)
    08. (After Numb the band sets back to their original position) No Line On The Horizon
    09. In A Little While or Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of or Walk On or Angel Of Harlem or Desire (they rotating these songs)
    10. Unknown Caller
    11. The Unforgettable Fire (just like now, but Bono sings 'In a lie' line)
    12. City Of Blinding Lights
    13. Acrobat ("and you can dream, so dream out loud")
    14. Discothéque (this is a 7 minutes remix version)
    15. (Larry starts to play Sunday Bloody Sunday, but before Edge could join, it turns to) Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car
    16. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (album version)
    17. MLK
    18. Where The Streets Have No Name
    Encore Break
    19. Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
    20. Vertigo
    21. Breathe
    22. Moment Of Surrender

PS: In specific events they would play Electrical Storm before Unknown Caller and Bad before Moment Of Surrender.

    hooo...
I'm tired now, good night everyone!
  3. Double post, sorry
  4. magnificent single mix to play live? gotta be kidding me.

The single edit is just 4 and a half minutes. Magnificent is boring when more than 5 minutes.
  6. It seems that the show somehow is less political than the Vertigo tour but at the same time, the Vertigo tour has more setlist changes and was more political??? How did they manage that!!!
  7. alright, so these things are impossible, but im bored. tried to make a set id like to see, while keeping it somewhat realistic and relevant to current album. of course, it would rotate, and there are a ton of songs left out.

    1 nloth (with extended intro)
    2 magnificent
    3 boots
    4 mofo
    5 gone
    6 the fly
    7 electric co/gloria/an cat dub
    8 staring at the sun
    9 still havent found
    10 so cruel (acoustic)
11 in a little while (acoustic)
12 desire (starting acoustic but transitioning into full band)
    13 crumbs from your table
    14 beautiful day
    15 new years day
    16 unknown caller
    17 streets
    18 moment of surrender
    encore 1
    19 breathe
    20 stand up comedy
    21 with or without you

Simple, you're talking about a not-existing relation between politics and setlist changes lol

    This would be great.
  10. When are they gonna play 'Bad'?
Maybe they won't. Keep in mind, it's been play many times over the past 25 years. Yes, so has Pride and Sunday Bloody Sunday but, they have set aside some songs that have been played a lot over the years. New Years Day, All I Want Is You, Bad, Bullet The Blue Sky, I Will Follow.... And in place of songs they've dropped they've added things like "The Unforgettable Fire and UltraViolet.

For me, I'd rather hear "Wire" than "Bad", if given the choice between the two. Not that I wouldn't enjoy "Bad". I love the song.

When it comes to what to play and not play, I am sure they understand that passions run high and that they are damned if they do and damned if they don't - by some.

When normally do they shift/chage the setlist? Do they do it all the time?
They usually start the tour with (2) setlists. Those alternate when playing two nights in the same town. Within those, there may be a bit of variation in a song or two here and there.

Anyone thinks that they'll play it by the time 18th August comes?
    Maybe yes, and maybe no.

There might be a better chance that it is played when they release the Unforgettable Fire remasters in October. One way to promote the reissue and deluxe box -- should they choose -- would be to play lots of UF songs. AND more so to work up Three Sunrises or Love Comes Tumbling (although I am not holding my breath that they will do the two WAIA songs)

While many can and have argued about setlists, I will just say that so far from all that I have spoke to... who've been to the shows so far... no one is complaining once they are in the stadium. The shows have been pretty great so far.

  11. Agree with you there. So we can hope maybe for the first leg of the NA tour to feature more UF?
