1. MTV Brasil is showing a lot the videoclip of Life in Technicolor here, but that's it.

Radios and the biggest part of people don't know them

The good thing is the fact that there's a huge fanclub of Coldplay here, so I expect they come here one day

  2. Saw them last night. GA 2nd row right in front of Johnny Buckland(guitar player). They put on a great show. They played Strawberry Swing right after Fix You - it was an awesome transition. They don't change their set list up very much but it was a huge hit-filled crowd pleasers.

I got some hella good pics - will post when I get home from vacation.

Taking my son to see them again tonight (we've got seats, and some drummer earplugs!).

Can't wait to see the pics friend

And Strawberry Swing is such a great song!

  4. The second night we were directly behind the B stage. My son (5-years-old) took this one
  5. Excellent pictures Zooey!!!
  6. so my one and only post in this forum

    it makes me sad

why is a band that has openly admitted to ripping off both u2 and radiohead, true innovators even given a mention on a u2 site?
ever ACTUALLY listen to coldplay? there are direct chords stolen from everyone else
admitting it does not justify it.

sure u2, radiohead, all the greats "borrowed" but coldplay should be flat out dismissed.

    theres my take

  7. Why come in here just to bag on something that clearly, most of the ppl in this thread enjoy? Why be that guy? You don't think U2 has ripped other bands off? You don't think The Beatles, or The Who or Radiohead or anyone else you think is an 'innovator' didn't rep off / get influenced by other bands?

I'm so sick of people thinking it's cool to rip on Coldplay. wtf? Why don't you find someone original to rip on? Music is all a matter of opinion and if you don't like it you don't have to post in here. Jesus Christ! Didn't your mama ever tell you "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything."?

  8. Thanks. It was a great show. CM has so much energy and passion on stage. His stage persona is very different from Bono, much more "aw shucks" but also very much a big presence. And I LOVE that they go out into the audience and play. There are always a few lucky people in the cheap seats that about piss themselves when they find themselves 3 feet from the band. It's a nice touch.

  9. Why exactly? Because you say so?

  10. what song, what passage, what chords, what's the songs they're stolen from?

I don't understand why everyone is always ripping on Coldplay
They're a fantastic band and personally I don't think they sound very much like U2 OR Radiohead
Not to mention the fact that I don't see either band complaining about Coldplay ripping them off, so I don't think you should be either
