1. We must try not to get too excited. They can't possibly play all the songs they've rehearsed, the whole playlist would have to change....

  2. Couldn't say mate, I've yet to hear them all.

Pop didn't take off too well in America did it? More the European states?

Agreed, although if they do bring it back, it won't be á la Elevation, I'm genuinely certain about that. I agree that, album version aside, it was actually the best version of the song but when Bono says it took them 12 years to perfect it live, that's how they're gonna play it if at all. The only change I could see would be different guitars etc. for Edge, Adam and that kinda shiz.

Exit is another one I would never expect to return, but God Part II, I can actually envisage. Slim chance but who knows. Gloria would be pretty cool too, as would Out Of Control.

Vertigo and ZooTV were in the same key mate, there's nothing wrong in my mind with the solo but Elevation was just epic and ethereal.
  3. why would you not stay for Dublin 3 the only town to get 3 shows, I have friends from Toronto who have flown to Dublin just for 3 figuring it will be the best set list of the tour. We will all have that question answered in a few short hours.

Any news if the start time has changed for tonight?

    Really? Vertigo sounds so different.

  5. Different guitars, different effect set-ups. Edge used a Strat. during ZooTV for the most part compared to the Variax during Vertigo, and yeah the tone/effects were pretty different.

work's calling, mate couldn't take another 2 days off. I'd have if it'd have been possible, of that be sure.

anyway. looking forward to see what songs will be played tonight
  7. although it really seems like we're simply wishing, everything we say here is not beyond the realm of reality for this tour. i mean, this is most likely the first leg of the tour, and if they follow the same trend as with their other tours we should be expecting more legs to follow. there will be plenty of time for our fantasies to become reality. at this point u2 has so many songs they could play and so many dates to play them that anything is possible. in the back of my mind i kinda want them to bring an cat dubh and into the heart back.

but in a somewhat separate note... stand up comedy?

  8. IWF, DM, ES. Lucky fans at Croke if they get all three songs. Even if they get one of the three I still think they're lucky.
  9. Stand Up Comedy would rock when played live, hands down
  10. User Ad87 is there now, wonder what his story will be.
