And I'm assuming that they were all nice people?

  2. Ah, I know how that feels, our old comp was reeeeaaally slow. Not that this one is much better

I'm sure you were, you're always a kind guy on here

  3. I'm not much of a tech guy, and I just quickly had to do some research on what would be a good budget pc, and I settled on Dell, b/c they're relatively reliable and cheap, and their online customization system is way better than HPs. For $600, including shipping and taxes, I got a desktop that's lightyears better than what I had b4, w/o any unnecessary features. Is this advice helpful in any way?

that's awesome. I hadn't been on the site, yet, so I am pleasantly surprised they split the show up in segments
    thanx

It is indeed, I think we have a Dell right now, but I'm not sure
That site is amazing, I go on it and watch clips all the time Colbert Nation is a good website for the Colbert Report too, it's basically the same as TDS.com

actually, I was just discussing the Colbert Report on the Comodo forum... discussing it is saying a bit much; rather, I was telling a Brit (don't know why all the people I run into these days are Britons lol) about it. In short, for joke segments, Colbert is more my style, but when it comes to interviews, on Jon Stewart you can actually learn a lot more.

Gosh, just thinking back... Jon is really really bright. Remember when he took apart Jim Kramer?

Btw, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, let alone the others we discussed, really are material for a political thread, don't you think. Nevertheless, I'm ok continuing in this thread.

Jon Stewart is the smartest guy on television, I think. The Jim Cramer takedown was brilliant, have you ever seen the clip of him on Crossfire? T'is amazing. I love Colbert's silliness, I do think Jon is funnier though, but I love them both (And my mega crush on Jon may have something to do with thinking he's better )
Jon and Stephen are definitely for the politics thread, I just thought that maybe in the way we were talking about Jon and Brian Williams possibly having hard-ons for each other didn't belong in the politics thread, y'know? Most other times, I'd gladly discuss those guys in there

so now you're using Shakespearean English, too!?
    You don't seize to amaze
but back to the question: I haven't seen that. I'm bringing up the youtube clip, but it's 14 minutes. Anything in particular I should look out for?

I find the joke segments on the Daily show to resort to - shall we say - adolescent humor, too often, for my taste.
You know what's - what's the word? ah, to hell with it, let's just say 'hardcore' to watch, when Jon makes a joke about the sad state of affairs in this country, and then he just looks so disenchanted. When I see that, I laugh, but at the same time my heart sinks, b/c I have to think: this guy deserves a better country to live in, one that doesn't drive him crazy, all the time. Of course, we're all in this together.

hard-ons is a pretty hard boiled word to describe it...

I love saying "T'is" and "hither" lol, they're fun words
Look for him telling Tucker Carlson to "Stop...hurting....America" and "I'm not going to be your monkey"
The Colbert Report can be just as bad as the Daily Show(As far as "adolescent humor" is concerned), but Stephen is often busy being just plain goofy
I know how you feel, when I watch TDS, I laugh my arse off, but,at the same time, I get sad, because people like Jon who really truly seem to care about the country, are forced to deal with this shit taco that we currently live in.
Yeah it was, but it's fun to joke about
