1. true. I've been known to craft language, as well, but sadly I'm not well versed in emoticons, yet
Look for him telling Tucker Carlson to "Stop...hurting....America" and "I'm not going to be your monkey"
The Colbert Report can be just as bad as the Daily Show(As far as "adolescent humor" is concerned), but Stephen is often busy being just plain goofy

yeah, it can be that way too, but, you're right, Colbert is often too far out, and that's why I prefer him. I like his mind-bending concepts and use of language. It's amazing how he can debunk his persona with every sentence coming out of his mouth

So, I'm watching the clip right now, it's delightful. 2004? They should invite Jon on their shows more often.

I got a new pc now, but as far as the typing is concerned, dear god, I just have to get a more ergonomic setup on my desk, this way I'm just killing my tendons X(
don't know why they have to make desks with such crappy design. To top it all off, they're designed for like - pardon the curseword (but for the life of me I have to shout it out) - midgets

    Emoticons are fun my friend!!
I love Colbert's voice and style of his show. His character's self-centeredness never ceases to amaze me and crack me up He's the perfect Yin to Jon Stewart's Yang, y'know?
They can't invite Jon on anymore, it got canceled soon after Jon's appearance. That's what's so amazing about it
Haha, don't feel bad about saying midget, I hardly consider that to be a curse word And our desk is designed for freakishly tall people like my dad, so I'm currently sitting on my knees
Gahh stupid Sarah Palin is on TV..... I hate that woman
EDIT: On a happier note, the Colbert Report just came on
  3. ...taking a break from watching to reply...

not just that; they're vital to text communication, taking the role of body language

true. I don't know who came up with the idea, but having Colbert play this mockery of a reactionary to 'balance out' Jon's obvious liberal nature is an ingenious masterplan
what's that quote Keith throws around a lot "it's genius, I tells ya"? Where's that from?

that's the most awesome thing, the words of a figure like Jon having so much impact! More power to Jon!

I thought it's basically a joke-line, myself, but a couple of years ago Charles Barkley apparently got in some trouble tossing that term about. Apparently, the Little People of America are sensitive about it.

that's what I'd like. How expensive was it?
Gahh stupid Sarah Palin is on TV..... I hate that woman

what's she on tv for again, giving even more phony reasons for resigning??
  4. hey everyone

man thats a lot of quotes.

Jeremy tell me more about Dublin- how amazing was it? Your first show?

  5. maybe I'm being excessively proper, but I want people to know exactly which thought I'm talking about
  6. Haha! Multi quote time!!!

They are, for instance, you can't recognize sarcasm without them
I don't know who came up with it, but they're my hero. And I don't know where it's from, but I'mma gonna google it!!!
IKR! Jon is a God amongst mortals
Yeah, but since I am not a little person, it didn't offend me But good for you for watching what you say
Oh gee, I'm not sure, we've had it forever, all apologies.
She was on the Daily Show's Moment of Zen, giving dumb reasons for why she's quitting

  7. Hey Maura, it was great.....I was there about a week. Went to Dublin 1 with Remy, Coen, and Zooropa413. We were on the rail just outside of the circle catwalk, a perfect position to be, really. Probably the highlight of the night was during COBL when Bono was singing literally 3 feet away from me and a fan behind me was trying to get Bono to trade sunglasses with him. But the guy was too far back and Bono couldn't reach, so he motioned to pass the glasses forward. I grabbed the guys glasses and handed them to Bono....then he took off his own and handed them to me, and I handed them back to the fan. (I probably should have just kept them, but....oh well. I'm a nice guy. What can I say?!) Oh, and I got a setlist from the camera operator....but the Bono glasses thing was pretty freakin' cool.
  8. And sat up in the 30 dollar seats with Gerard for Dublin 2. Nice to get a different perspective of the shows.
