No, not just you MacStripey. Me too! Get rid of it.

  2. I'm not too fond of it either, doesn't really work live for me.

  3. last time they changed and experimented openers, the encores, end of main set and still had room for surpises. no one in the first leg knew the setlist inside out like this time. however, that was an arena tour. i think with U2, stadium tours they naturally have little room for change. Look at the European tour in 05. less surprising than this tour.
  4. I think the setlist is fine. More changes than vertigo (europe), popmart and zoo tv.
The "standard"setlist is great with the NLOTH songs, the UF and UV. And if you are lucky you get Bad, UTEOTW, Elevation etc.

Oh and dont forget, the first leg of Vertigo was pretty dreadful...

If U2 chose more different songs to play people would be complaining about weak performances...which is what happens if they have to remember so many songs...

  6. I have no problem with the way the tour is working right now, but I can't help but feel that ignoring or not wanting to do some Pop stuff is a dumb move. Sure the Popmart tour is over and done with, as well as that era, but so are the others, yet they are being revisited and played more. I just can't help but think it's lazy or that U2 don't simply want to play those songs again. Sure in the Elevation and Veritgo tour they played a few Pop songs or snippeted them, but that's nothing in comparison to what they do with the stuff from UF, JT, AB. Pop needs some more love and so does October. I say rotate the encore.

Yeah. i think thats the difference with this tour. the setlist was figured out really early. I dont really mind the setlist I only want TUF UV and the NL songs on the DVD and the show I got to.
  8. I have a playlist on my iPod of the setlist that I update after every show, and I kind of hope that The Unforgettable Fire gets dropped for the North American leg of the tour. I just don't love it.

Lol. i love diffferences. everyone seems to love the crazy tonight remix (including myself earlier this tour) but i think it runs a little long...

I do LOVE the remix. It's what I envisioned the song to sound like when I first read about the title and how will.i.am was involved in it. It would be nice to hear the original version though too.
  11. I am glad with the set...but it could be better like i posted before...
but i was thinking of somethings...i wished for 4 songs to be back...TUF, Ultraviolet, Acrobat and Exit....they brought back two! 50%! that´s good!

I dont like the african / middle eastern chant at the end though. how the hell is that guy singing have anything to do with Crazy Tonight and how fun it is playing? It seems like such a ploy to have it mesh with SBS and the political section. :/ I think it needs to be shortened thats all. with no middle eastern chant at the end
