1. I think it would be really great if everyone changed their avatars to personal pictures. I personally would much rather see your face in the forum rather than some generic U2 photo. Anybody else agree?

Sure, I like the occasional cool and orginal avatar, but most people's avatar is just a photo of the band, which I can see if I want in the Photo section of the site!

Put your personal pictures up and let us get to know you a bit better!!!

  2. Well, I'll do it, but some people may not be so willing to have their pics on the web

  3. Oh come on people! There are 6 billion+ people on the earth. Nobody knows you, where you live, or will ever see your face again. Just put it on your avatar so I feel like I'm talking with a real person in the forums.

  4. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

thats what my facebook is for . but I like my picture, its a U2 site, its fun to see other people's pictures of U2 as their avatar.
  6. I agree with Maura. Feel free to do your own thing, but avatars are not meant to resemble you directly.
And privacy means there's no way everyone would do it.

A lot of folks are known here by their avatar anyway.

We also have the members photos thread for those willing to share. And there's a names thread somewhere too.

Remy's picture is of him though....
  7. My avatar is of me... being Bono at the Joshua Tree. (It was taken at my U2 themed birthday party on June 30th)

  8. Oh come on! You are not Dr. Frasier Crane . . . is that a picture of you really. . . because, if so, you look just like Frasier Crane.
  9. 'Tis why we have this topic mate so people who do fancy posting photos of themselves can.

  10. LOL

agree with you, Dan. those who want to share pictures of themselves are free to do so. it's not everyone's thing to spread their photos on the web, so let's keep the freedom of choice
