    I think One will be played in the middle of the country in every show. It's better in my opinion, and I liked the setlist. Just missed Bad.
  3. An observation from listening to quite a few shows already - any ideas why

    1. Bono is dropping the "I guess that's the price of love" line in Ultra Violet for what I can only describe as a scat-jibberish in it's place

    2. In The Unforgettable Fire Bono is skipping the entirety of

    Stay tonight in a lie
    I'm only asking but I
    I think you know
    Come on take me away
    Come on take me away
    Come on take me home
    Home again

    and just signing "stay tonight" over and over. I especially am confused by this because it's one of the most beautiful parts of the song!

    Anyway, both have been done enough so it isn't Bono forgetting lyrics...it's something else. Any ideas/guesses?

    1. Dont know but find that a bit annoying as well. For the rest the performances of UV are gold so.

    2. Listen to Amsterdam I.

  7. I have come to the conlusion either:

    A. He is lazy and can't be bothered.
    B. Perhaps too tiring - but I have no idea why.
    C. Thinks his new changes are better for the song.

    Someone needs to tell Bono either way that the new style sucks.

Yeah, I can't help but think he's deciding to edit the song's lyrics somehow - and while those two songs are my favorite performances of the tour, I always cringe when it gets to those two edited/forgotten/whatever parts. "I guess that's the price of love" is too easy to remember to forget it every show!
  9. He does this every so often, he just changes the lyrics and sometimes they are permanent sometimes they aren't. For whatever reason he's decided for doing this it doesn't work for me atleast anyway, it makes the song have less of an impact. Part of the reason those songs work and are great are because of the original lyrics.

    I just know I'm gonna be told now that whatever Bono decides is the be all end all and the changes are perfect, but whatever.
  10. I love Ultraviolet as is. i dont mind the minor changes. The unforgettable fire however... strikes me as BSed. Lol. i love how he sings the verses but the chorus is bad. (at most shows) i like Berlin's where he attempted it.
