  4. No wonder his voice is tired. If Bono is drinking and smoking all the time between and after gigs no wonder his voice is getting outta shape again. He needs to just be sensible, I'm not saying he can't enjoy himself but as a singer I think he has an obligation to look after his voice. I mean people are paying to see him sing not cough down the microphone before a song or sound rough from a hard night's partying.

    I rather like the replacement of that Ultraviolet line over the cheesy "I guess it's the price of love and I know it's not cheap" crap, but what the current version does lack is the magical picking solo.

    I completely agree with you on that it's a shame he chickens out of the difficult parts of TUF, and even the best part. Especially "I'm only asking, but I, I think you know!". It's still a good performance though.

    Bono forgets enough lyrics as it is. My guess is he agrees with me.

    You're imagining things. If that is his tired voice, I would love to hear him when he's great.

    His voice tires after singing too many show in a row, from stress and not getting enough sleep.

    Bono doesn't smoke beteween show and he doesn't drink much. Maybe they did a bit of partying in Dublin, but that's it.

    Listen to Vertigo bootlegs or to any boots of other tours: HIs voice sounds much more rough and scratchy, tired and hoarse, it's clear he's in much better shape vocally now, and his technique has improved A LOT: I was blown away by his voice when I was there at the shows.

    Read what he's saying in interviews. No parties for Bono. He's taking care. For a rock star, he's a very boring person. But he's aware of the gift of his voice and he hasn't sounded this good in years.
