1. I was at the show, totally amazing imo even though it was my first u2 show so I guess I don't compare it to other shows like some of you do. I was Two rows behind the outer circle, just a few meters from the boys sometimes. The screen didn't extend and the MW slide-solo that we know from ZOO TV and Popmart, the one that comes after approx. 5 mins, was unfortunately missing. Hearing UV live was a dream coming true, something I believed that I'd never get the chance to experience until this tour. That song seemed just as dead to me as In God's Country, Do You Feel Loved and other 1-tour-only songs. Tonight it's seated ticket and if they give me Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World tonight it would just be perfect although that is as unlikely as Acrobat being played.
  2. any soundcheck today?
  3. Hey hey, Bono was practicing for the U.S. shows that evening! ("Shake your big fat ass now!")

  4. Bono's voice was actually not that good looking at the vids. Anyway, I like One that early. Reminds me of Zoo TV (Mysterious Ways, One, UTEOTW).
  5. Judging by actuallt being there, Bono's voice was flawless. Those vids don't do the show justice, it was wild!
  6. this was just tweeted on U2gigs

"BTW, they rehearsed something new today. Different from the song we heard yesterday. Just play it later!"

i wonder what song he's referring to.
  7. ...and while we await tonight's 2nd Gothenburg gig, I'll be slightly off topic 'cause I just saw this:

Veltins-Arena Gelsenkirchen -- they have a webcam inside the stadium, just saw they're building up the claw for Monday

sorry, back to the real topic here

"new" in means of new song, or "new" in means of new to the setlists so far?
