This is something that really rankles with me. If anyone had to said to us before the tour started that TUF and UV would be occasionally in the set, let alone regulars, we'd have all gone "nah, no chance. They'll never play those". Yet here we are, that's how it is and still we have to find something to moan about.

I thought Barca 1 setlist was good if a little safe. The way they're mixing it up now is fantastic. For a massive production, with all the lights/videos etc, there is only so much room for variation. If you want completely different setlists each night, you need a basic stage with kit (eg Bruce/REM). But that's not what they';re going for.

Also 90% of the U2-listening public do not sit here night after night watching setlists unfurl, listening to every boot and attending multiple concerts.

Some Pop material would be nice though....
  2. For me Dublin1, 3 and Amsterdam 2 are the best ones!!
In Amsterdam 2 they did 3 tour debuts!!!!

Dude, I hear what you are saying but honestly where there's die hard fans you're always gonna find them moaning about something, it's because they are so passionate about U2 and what they do, it's normal. I mean it wouldn't be normal for everyone to go "Perfect, U2 can do no wrong".
  4. I know, I used to visit Interference and post quite a lot, but there's too many people now who bitch at you as soon as you say you don't agree with something U2 is doing like you're just a troll or something.

Anyway, let's not moan and talk about other sites for our own sake.

    Yep, on-topic: setlist bitching

I thought that too when the tour started but the new intros of BD and Vertigo are amazing, SBS is rocking, Walk On is pretty good, only One and WOWY are the ones that needs reworking or to be leftout.

    True.

What makes me laugh is I've just had a look at a few Popmart setlists as I was filling in my 'shows attended' and the 2 nights at Wembley, when I went to the first night, the setlists are identical (apart from Edge's karaoke).

Was pre-internet I guess, so no-one knew anything really (I remember being floored when Please segued into Streets...).

I dont like the african / middle eastern chant at the end though. how the hell is that guy singing have anything to do with Crazy Tonight and how fun it is playing? It seems like such a ploy to have it mesh with SBS and the political section. :/ I think it needs to be shortened thats all. with no middle eastern chant at the end

It's ok, some things are more important than music itself.
