So basically slightly varied setlist to the usual, just throwing Dirty Day in for good measure which ain't gonna happen lol? Don't get me wrong, wish they did but, y'know, fat chance...

    And I will follow
Think I'll move DD to after bad' LOL
  4. They should play more oldies. Where's the stuff from the first 3 cd's? Only SBS. We know this one by now. Surprise us with other great tracks. A sort of homecoming would be nice too. Great that they added Untill the end of the world and Bad in Amsterdam I was there and i think this was their best show/setlist untill now. One earlier in the show which gives the song a greater impact (in my opinion). And of course return to 40 as last song.
  5. I think my main problem with the set list is that there is no room for excitement at the end.

You go to a concert, especially a u2 concert, you want to be left buzzing walking out of the venue, usually that comes from a great ending. When you go into the encore knowing it's going to be very short and it's going to be the same 3 songs, that doesn't leave alot of room for anything truly spectacular to happen at the end of the show.

I compare it to Bruce Springsteen who's encores this tour last from 5-7 songs and are a rotating block of some of his old fan favorite hits that have become somewhat rare (Rosalita, Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark) as well as awesome covers.

I think the setlist could benefit from a slight restructure to include more flexibility at the end. Right now u know what ur going to get after song 9.
  6. I'm OK with those three songs in the encore, BUT why are there only three?! The Vertigo tour had two encores and about six songs!

  7. The break before Streets is sort of like an encore....the band leaves the stage while Desmond Tutu gets overly excited about us being One.

Yep, that's how I understand it, too.
I still didn't figure out if that Tutu thing is serious or comedy, though...

  9. the vertigo main set was a lot shorter so they had room, but i agree 3 songs is not enough
  10. I think U2 has to close with a rocker, dont get me wrong MOS is absoluteley amazing (one of their very best) but they better close with something that blows the roof off. And no not Vertigo for 2nd time And I would love to see Dirty Day back... damn what a song.
  11. the encore is great (UV-WOWY-MOS) but it needs some more umph in it, coz after the highlight that is UV the show just sorta fizzles out with two mid-tempo ballads. It wouldn't kill 'em to chuck in Last Night On Earth or something.

or gone. what a great idea.

i think mos would be amazing as the main set closer, its a great song and one of their best in a long time, but it ends so abruptly. seems this is a growing thought amongst fans, and i hope the band notices
