1. I doubt there would be any country they could play then. Ireland wasn't sold out, so was Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Sweden. Maybe the Middle East and Asia next tour.

  2. Because of the Ticket Price....I think that 175€ for Seats at at sideline a little bit to high..

That's true, but I think in Germany it was worse than other countries. Or maybe I've got that wrong.
  4. had one long night's sleep, so my review is a little late (as always ). hope though some will still be interested:

snow patrol were once more amazing. just wow, cannot get enough of these guys. totally contemplating getting their albums or buying a live dvd, if there's one great band! they weren't just a warm-up band, it felt like there were u2 fans on stage celebrating with the rest of us that u2 were going to come on stage. awesome!

as macstripey already said - we were lucky enough to get a spot behind the catwalk, first row o the left. I could've cried tears of happiness. first time I was first row and I could see everything of the band. no arms and heads in front of my view - just great

during the setlist I had the feeling that we were missing one song. would have liked to hear mysterious ways, uteotw or electrical storm (or I will follow, since we heard edge rehearsing it!), but one can't have it all, I guess still satisfied with the setlist (elevation was one big highlight!). they could have played anything and I'd have been a happy camper. t'was my last u2360 show at the venue I saw them for the first time 4 years ago.. so it was a big party and celebration for me either way!

the crowd was really, really good imo. at least where I stood people were jumping and screaming like madmen and I was one of them. literally screamed my lungs out already when larry got on stage, lol. I often took a look around and saw people clapping or jumping everywhere.. I even turned to macstripey several times to tell her how awesome the crowd was. too bad to hear though that some are of a different opinion. where were you guys, we had a party in the pit

have to say, I did notice edge not being spot on that night, but everyone's entitled to have a bad day. I saw him close his eyes during several songs, he really tried to get it right, so still lots of kudos to him. it's okay.

bono was totally on fire. wow, did the man jump. loved how he tried to 'provoke' the audience, how he played with them. saw him point at several people lots of times etc., he smiled a lot and was very hug-y with adam. liked that.

adam... what to say about adam?! he was his cool, smiley self as always loved it when he came by us on the catwalk. he got this really great, laid-back aura about himself (whilst chewing gum 24/7 lolol).

and larry seemed to be in a good mood, from what I've seen. gave us one big smile during crazy. did a good and solid performance. good man!

the stage had a few glitches, I noticed them, but didn't think any further about it. didn't bother me. what did bother me though - the one and only thing - was, that the band didn't come over the bridges as often as I'd have liked them to (and I'm talking about edge and adam here. bono was coming over quite a lot). as I've heard already though, they apparently had technical problems.. so I can't blame them. it's just a pity though.

anyway. great night. great show. I loved being there, I loved my spot, I loved hearing the songs, I loved seeing them. too bad it was my last time already, I left the arena with mixed feelings and couldn't stop turning around to look at the claw one last time. sigh. that was u2360 for me, guys everyone who's still going to attend a show & to the band - take care and have a great time!

    Why being pissed then?

A concert experience is always subjective, depends on where you're standing/sitting, how you like the setlist, etc. I don't wanna make your experience/fun smaller at all.

As for your points, I remember Edge using the Catwalk once during 'Crazy' and maybe during one other song. That's all. Don't think I missed much as I was standing on his side.
Crowd next to me was totally lame compared to other gigs. They went crazy during the first notes of Breathe, granted. But that enthousiasm ended after the first chorus.

well... maybe I was pissed reading your words, I admit that -- but I didn't intend to be that pissed, now that I re-read my answer

You are right, as well as the others who posted in the meantime, it mostly depends on your spot in the audience on how the concert works for you. Lame people around you = lame concert. Point taken.

For me, it was a great concert. If it wasn't for you, yeah, or for anyone else, that's a pity. Not meaning that in a critical way, only in a way that I'm sorry this concert wasn't as good for you as earlier gigs have been.
Maybe that's what I really meant to say... now that I'm not pissed anymore sorry, I really need to catch some sleep. Should have posted after that

I guess they might plan to play Munich next year, a good spot for those living in the south. but 3 gigs is most certainly not going to happen, I think. play 1 in Germany, another 1 in Holland.... and go to Switzerland and Austria, they deserve their gigs as well
  7. is it known whether there were any tapers at the gig?
  8. If they play Holland I really hope they chose a stadium without a roof on it. Might be little audience then, but a better claw experience.

  9. Yep, there were quite a few. I saw 2 guys taping with some OKM's but there were a few more. Also at least 3 people who filmed the show in HD.

I prefer indoor shows if that's the only way to get it dark. The Claw needs darkness.
