It's as if U2 is getting better an better with the years to come.
Coldplay is fine but they still have a long way to go(i've seen them live twice). They are on the way, but need still a lot more to grow to beat U2.
I saw U2 22 years ago in a small venue of 6.500 and they were already absolute magic back then.
By the way Coldplay is a soft rock band and U2 is a real rockband, so difficult to compare
