1. any one have the 7/25/2009 green day show in albany
  2. U2 is the only band i would like a 40 song setlist from. i would not like that show to be honest. for the fans great but for the casual fan???? i would like to hear a review from a casual fan.

  3. So you don't remember Bono and 'punk rock made on venus' then? He needs to stop dreaming.

Anyway, American Idiot was one of the better albums of 2004.

I WAS a casual fan. The show made me go back and listen to them more than I ever have. I agree I would rather see U2 play a set like that but it was great to see a show that long with a lot of surprises. At one point they pulled a fan on stage and made him stage dive! Lol. Very entertaining to say the least.

    touche.

Going to see them in a couple weeks. I too am a 'casual fan' and in fact there's a huge gap in my GD knowledge between Dookie and AI (which I ADORE) Three hours, eh? I have a GA ticket and I'm not sure I'm up for three hours of being in "the pit" with a bunch of GD fans. We'll see. I saw the Bullet tour video and loved it! It didn't look like people were really "moshing" (do ppl even do that anymore?! I feel old all of a sudden) so maybe it'll be okay.

oh, AND we get Franz Ferdinand opening. Saw them in a little club a few months back and loved it!

  6. agree, i enjoy American Idiot, but their new album makes me want to shove a spoon in my ear
  7. Didn't want to make up a whole topic for this one, but I heard something on the radio about Green Day's song sounding like the Full House theme song. When I looked it up on Youtube, I found this:

I guess I can kinda hear it, but make your own opinion!

  11. Screw this full house stuff. I saw them last night and they ROCKED!!!! I loved the show!! Will post pics soon.
  12. Sorry zooey, but I thought the full house thing too....actually, I can hear a bit of "Come on Elleen" in another song (can't remember which one) and another melody line from the "That Thing You Do" soundtrack somewhere else on the record. Oh well.....coldplay ripped of Satriani, right? ;-)
