  3. It grated on me at first but then I came to really like it. Also All That You Can't Leave Behind is a pretty good album bar two songs.

Aye, it's not that bad. You need to have another listen!

I think Drew means, and I agree with him, why 3 when it deserves at least 7?

11 out of 10 and it should get a remaster with extra songs.
  4. 1 achtung baby (one of the greatest record of last 50 yrs+)
2 how to dismantle an atomic bomb (vastly underrated masterpiece)
3 joshua tree (damn fine record)
    4 pop (even "unfinished" brilliant)
5 boy (raw power and beauty, no one had heard anything like it before)
6 no line (perhaps higher than it should be, ambitious if not undercooked)
7 zooropa (as a snapshot in the middle of zootv, great if listened to for what it is)
8 war (again, pure power, lower for its mistepss such as redlight and surrender)
9 unforgettable fire (way undercooked, but still great. more unfinished than pop)
10 rattle and hum (some great songs, some rubbish)
11 passengers (eno as full 5th member and always interesting)
12 october (decent, but trying to figure it out)
13 new york, beautiful day, live elevation ep (nice little ep, some rumors of a full album of bside garbage as well)

sorry for the notes, its late and im bored

  6. I see that no one is including Under A Blood Red Sky in his/her list, why is that?

I think UABRS is THE defining U2 album ever.

  7. I actually forget all about it. It's in my top six then.

  8. If you include that you would include Wide Awake then.

I don't include it because it's not an original studio album. I listen to it regularly though.
  9. UABRS is an official album.

    WAIA is just an EP
