1. Bono sounds quite good, look at Adam during GOYB.
  2. Firstly, apologies for the quality of the pics., my phone camera's adequate without being up to much and I have no flash lol. There are just some of the best from the bunch.

The Wembley stands from where I was on the pitch.

Breathe or NLOTH, can't remember which.

    Intro. to Beautiful Day.

The snowglobe mentioned in that Beeb article pre-TUF - I thought he'd been handed it by a fan lol.

Favourite pic. of the lot - TUF.

    Pride.

    Ultra Violet

I did have a couple minutes' clip of the Streets intro. but it didn't save at the time 'cause I was out of memory lol, bloody technology...

  3. I like his voice, hes almost 50 years so I dont want him to sound like 30 anymore.

    Nice story and pics Harry!

  4. Cheers fella and I agree, from where I was he sounded in fine fettle and nothing's gonna change that for me

  5. Yep, why would one want him to sound great anyway.

Just saying that his voice has seen better times this tour. An observation, no judgement.
  6. his voice went on a downward spiral from Croke 3.

Much prefering the ususal extended Streets intro
  7. As long his voice doesnt return to Vertigo era I'm satisfied. And yes, his voice was better in the beginning, downhill since Croke ones indeed. So I'm glad that Amsterdam was before those
  8. His voice isn't that of yesteryear for sure, that's age and fags for you lol, but I think there's a real strength to it, which is how it came across last night
  9. Oh and good to read that Neil's son isnt infected with Swine Flu
  10. Hi All,

Good gig tonight, Bono's vocals were strong and the band were really enjoying the show and each other. Setlist was good and SBS sounded better than it has at previous shows, although pride still sounded tired. The highlight of the show for me would have to be ISHFWILF which created such a great vibe and spectacle (possibly even better than Milan 1). Also worth noting are elevation, boots and vertigo which all rocked the house and Bono kissing Adam at the end of Magnificent.
The crowd were quite good for a uk show as us brits tend to be reserved at big gigs, I noticed on several occasions individuals who had completely lost themselves in the music and started dancing/jumping and singing at the top their voice, only to have have a dozen or so people stood (still) around them turn and stare at them as if they were an alien or needed to be sectioned.

For anyone who thinks the crowd were better than quite good I would not dispute that. However, I saw U2 at the old wembley on the Joshua Tree tour and no gig by U2 or any of the other 40 odd bands that I have seen since then have come close to the crowd reaction and atmosphere of that day (including the Zoo tv indoor show).

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

    Peace
  11. THIS is Bono singing badly. Now he's better than we could have hoped for.
