1. Of course it doesn't. It has to do with people and the way we live our lives these days. Everything is insane...

I remember going to the cinema to see U23D and every time people were going out during Yahweh which (song, not people going out) was so, so, so perfect.

They always do that during credits of any movie...the point is, we're always in rush, people go to Cinema and shows not to enjoy themselves but because it's tradition...

And now even fucking Twitter happened...

Me and my friends, on all three shows we stayed inside the stadium as long as possible, just sitting on the floor, drinking beer, chating. That show meant something to us. Those fuckers that are leaving during MOS...they came because they heard BD on the radio once and they liked it.
  2. Partly agree with you, although I think Twitter is nice and handy. It is true that people are always in a hurry. Loved it that you stayed that long in the stadium. How many time did you spend after the gig in the stadium?

    Last post about UV:

Milan 92: I don't like him shouting OOOH when the riff kicks in. Rest of the song is just brilliance
Dublin 93: Might be even a little better

I also like the Washington 92 performance.

All in all the song may be slightly better performed during the Zoo days, but there is 16/17 years between them.

    - INTRO - hands up, who prefer Edge's guitar rather then pre-recorded keyboards
    - Bono's vocals - I absolutely adore the " you bury your treasure " and " I remember when we could sleep on stones " parts ! Never had he this passion during Zoo TV.

Well now I'm not sure again. Zoo and 360 both had great performances of the song so far. Love Milan I, Barca I.

  3. I've just rang my husband again and the car has lights but just won't turn over and theres nobody about to help bump it.

The recovery said they could be 90 minutes cos of the traffic so I expect them to get back after 2pm.

I've just sent a text to Key103 about their plight and they read my text out on air (Im Catherine btw) that was cool, mind you I'm easily pleased.

I still have to get used to it being in the set again to be able to judge it properly. Barca 1 performance I adore but can't match Milan 92 or Dublin 93

  5. Good to see a complete broadcast with absolutely no interruptions.

As a huge Springsteen fan, closely following the current tour and fan reaction, you are actually incorrect here. Bruce has been playing 3 (or sometimes 4) songs from the new album this tour and a lot of fans want more of the new songs. They don't want a "nostalgia" tour (it isn't quite that) and have been complaining about this since the first few shows. We do like rarities (Bruce has a vast catalogue of songs at this point), but the statement "nobody wants to hear the new songs" is completely incorrect.
  7. TX's wife here again.

Well they are on their way home now, my son didn't say where they were though, so they could still be trying to get out or in Sheffield itself.

Thanks a lot for listening to me moan lol.

I'll definitely try and get some pics or video on tomorrow.

I'm off now so will probably be asleep when they finally get in.

    Night guys and gals. xx
  8. Hey guys,

Wow. I'm started to think this might have topped Wembley 1 for me, which is saying something - Streets tonight was possibly the best moment of my life, coming only a week after ISHFWILF in Wembley last Friday. Seriously, such a great gig. Started off a bit lowkey for me, sat facing the stage, me and my mate were wanting to stand up etc. but the people behind us (the only ones in the entire stadium who seemed to want to sit the entire gig) were being arsey, but when ISHFWILF came on we just said fuck it and got up and sang our nuts off. Then he noticed a gap in the block next to us and we sidled over, much better block, so much energy. Great night, atmosphere pre-gig was mental, pretty polished performance, place was rocking from what I could see, really took off when the big numbers kicked in but like I said, Streets tonight - damn you anyone who says it ain't dead. And you guys wouldn't have seen Edge run most of the way around the walkway, so fantastic. Argh. Yeah the set was the same as Wembley 1 and Glasgow but no one cared, we lapped it up. I feel privileged to have been there, can't wait to hear the broadcast if someone converts it into a bootleg. On the drive back me and m'mates were having a good sing-song to the '90s-'00s Best Of. Funniest bit of the night has to go to my mate Adam mistaking the first mask he saw to be a David Mitchell mask lmao...deary me.

Great night, great night. Hope you guys got a feel for it on the radio feeds I'm trying to browse through the thread to get some idea of what you guys were getting, how did it come across from where you all were? Aside from this apparent Elevation/WOWY malarky lol? And Gloria was DEFINITELY snippetted in Streets, loved it

EDIT - Traffic was sodding awful though, got to the car for about 11ish, didn't get out of the city 'til half 12 latest? M1 Northbound was packed, thankfully we eventually made it to the Southbound exit and got going back Lincoln-way.
  9. Unfortunately I missed tonights show on the radio as I was out at a family meal (no excuse I know haha). Does anyone know a site that has it? Thank you.
  10. Bootleg is up on our bootleg pages, MF mirrors are coming.

    Thanks!
