    That's what I also noticed during live shows, almost all songs have "ooh ooh" or "aah aah" parts in it, just a little cheap sometimes.
  2. Was watching a few performances on this song on youtube.

    It has really become something when played live. They've fixed the "one take only' album version lack of polish. The live vocals maybe lower key but are also less strained and the clicky bassline? they've added really fleshes out the song compared to the sparse instrumentation on the album.

    BTW does Edge play keyboard during the whole song, and only gets up to do the solo? Why isn't Terry Lawless on keyboards instead?

    Edge plays keys on the chorus (until he starts playing the guitar on the outro.) whilst TL plays the organ throughout. Great closer in my opinion.

    Oh ic, couldn't they just get Terry to play both keyboard and organ?
    Then Edge can add some guitar atmospherics, TUF style.

    And whats Adam done to his bass to make it so funky compared to the album version?
  6. Version they play now is just perfect. Although I like them to close with a rocker, it's one of the best songs of the set

    It's the same as on the album to my mind, I think it's just much clearer and louder in the overall mix when played live. Certainly adds something to it. And playing keyboard AND organ? Surely that would be too much for someone with two hands seeing as both parts use bass and treble lines?

    I dont think its quite the same as the album, the bassline on the album version is impromptu and sounds as such, this has more structure and rhythm. Also he's using an effect or something. It definitely adds a lot to the song though

    Lol, I meant can't Terry just play both on the same keyboard? ie.after playing organ switch to the piano setting during the chorus?

    It surely sounds different at the shows.
    I do not know how many of you has been to latest U2360 tour shows, so I hope you'd get what I want to say:
    in Zagreb people felt (1st night) that MoS was competely wrong song to close up the show, since it is new, not yet well known etc. Many also thought (reference from listening to the album of course) that song is simply not powerful enough.
    At the end, MoS at the 2nd night felt wonderfully powerful, the slight change (i couldn't figure it out yet what are all the differences...) in perfoming, the moment, the audience knew the words and the anticipation - it was wow!
    I dare to say, MoS is soon to be joining the rest of the slow U2 masterpieces. Seriusly
