Me too...although this one's pretty close. I would just watch Vertigo on the Chicago DVD over and over and over again because of that one, haha.

and that's a pretty sweet picture of Bono and The Edge.

Thats one of the songs on that DVD that are not really dead indeed. Buenons Aires Vertigo is great too... that's the one that was also used for U2 3D.

  2. Hm, tough one. The Hallam FM capture is even more compressed than the Radio Forth one. Besides the channels are swapped which makes a weird headphone experience. But the equalization is far more natural. I'll stick with a re-equalized Radio Forth one as it's technically superior, but I'll keep it for myself because I don't want to add more confusion to the various circulating versions.

Ah, how did you equalize it? Only difference I could make out is that the Hallam FM capture sounds richer and warmer, the Forth one is louder.

Don't know about the levels by heart (I'm not at home right now) but I believe it didn't make a lot of difference. Main difference was too much presence (around 4-5kHz) in the Radio North version and a slight lack around 300Hz, causing a little harsh and shrill overall sound (so indeed, Hallam sounds warmer). Otherwise they are virtually the same, except for Hallam FM suffers even more from compression. Can't give you exact EQ details as I don't use a traditional equalizer but a pretty freaky non-standard device.

you are good at what you do with recordings. Can you possibly post a sample at some stage?
  6. @noiseless: thanks for you analysis, agree with Gerard. Enjoy much of your remasters (Sarajevo, Vertigo Buenos Aires for example).

  7. Thanks!
Yes a sample is possible but don't expect anything special about a quick EQ job on the fly just to scan the sources. Again I have no plans of sharing the complete show, and IF I do, I'll definitely wait a month to see if there's any need to by then. Besides I'd never share a show with minor EQ tweaks because it's senseless and extremely annoying to spread such "upgrades". If I might take it up for the real deal (which would take 2 weeks anyway) we'll see again. Sample tonight as I'm at my work right now.
  8. Does anyone know what version to get of this show? I want a great sounding version if there is one. Thanks for the help.

no definitive answer to that yet as everybody scramble to upload as many versions as they possibly could. They will all be good but it will probably take a few weeks in order for the best to be known
  10. I think that it was the best version of Pride this tour so far. Walk on where great to
  11. yup, i'm less-than-impressed with the low end on the current broadcast recording. Let's hope something better surfaces soon.
  12. Fuck, they officially broadcast a show and I miss it? Why?

Still waiting for the best source to be chosen, thanks
