1. Is that Cash's version of 'one' (in which case I agree) but if you mean the Wanderer I must respectively disagree. The Wanderer isn't two singers sharing a mic, as it is in 'One' with MJB. Johnny Cash's distinctive melodic voice was perfect for the lyrics.

Was disgusted with this version of the 'One'. I realise it's their song and that they're totally entitled to do with what they want but it still comes off as a sell-out. They didn't need to reintroduce the song 15 years after it originally aired - they don't need the money, they don't need to change it to be something else (I remember reading that the band were confused as to why people thought it was a joyous song when it's clearly anything but).

I accepted the U2 ipod, I could live with HTDAAB and hell I love Bono's ego but this sham version was a total, utter sell-out

They didn't originally re-release it, MJB was covering it as part of an album and they agreed to play it with her for the single. I don't consider it as a sell-out on their part, but that's me respectively disagreeing in turn

In order for her to cover it though does she not need their permission? At which stage they soon decided that they'd 'help out' and release it together

Should have told her where to go when she asked to cover it.

u got me wrong, the wanderer is just an awesome song.... the cover of one by JC is crap, but still better than the MJ Bliege one.
