I downloaded this a while back because it's quite a local gig, well the closest U2 have ever and will ever get to my home. I was a bit disappointed with the sound especially when you consider it's listed as a 4 star recording on the bootleg pages. Well it's about 1.5 to 2 stars originally.
Because I wasn't happy with the sound, I decided to clear it up a little bit. Main difference is that the channels are now equal, original recording had a very bad right channel bias. So the sound is now even across both channels.
In terms of overall quality, it really picks up around Sunday Bloody Sunday, before that it's gradually getting clearer, Gloria is really muffled etc then it gets clearer as the gig progresses, hitting maximum clarity (for this recording) at Sunday Bloody Sunday.
It's a nice little show, decided to upgrade it for those who download in the future. Features a nice setlist, Sunday Bloody Sunday snippet in '40' is cool. Overall quality now is 2.5 to 3 stars.
