Excuse me, but I don't think this is the general idea of a matrix. The point is rather to have the various sorces run together at exactly the same speed and timing (that is being 'sync'). The Barcelona matrix for instance has three recordings: one for the bass, one for the mid-tones and a third for the high tones. A uniform sound is therefore created for the entire show and entirly different that the sound of each source seperatly.

That is the case of a good Matrix. (Like yours and DiegoQ05's) But lately there are some matrices that are out of sync sometimes and do sound like the play-button has been pressed in 3 seperate mediaplayers.
A good matrix can be SBD quality
I have to thank the tapers in return. Without them there would be nothing to mix or matrix!
