1. Simple idea. Post one (and only one) video from the first leg of the tour that you love most. Any video, can be from a show you attended, you might have recorded it yourself or whatever.

My choice is below. When those lights come on and you see the scale of that gig. My god. And when Edge plays to the rear crowd the 360 element just makes sense (when they choose to make use of it).

Watch and try not to goosebump :

  2. Tough call...but I have to go with Crazy Tonight remix from opening night. It's turned into somewhat of a polarizing song with a good majority of fans loving it and others wishing they'd just play the original version. For me, this version works in all aspects. It shows the band isn't afraid to take a few risks and still do hold "the right to be ridiculous" - whether you might find that ridiculousness as intended or unintended. I chose the opening night performance because its appearance came as a complete surprise to all in attendance and all of us listening around the world. We'd heard the bass line before in that U2.com video clip, but that was just a small taste, and certainly didn't prepare us for the fullness of its live incarnation.

I haven't seen it live in person (yet, hopefully, if they still keep it for the North American leg), but I can't imagine anyone sitting down during it. The light show is at its best here too.

And since we've gotten a lack of Pop songs thus far, at least we have one Pop-ish song.

  3. the resurrection of UV. the jacket, the blue and purple lights, the smoke machines, the steering wheel mic. everything about it is epic.
  4. Pssch, tough call, tough call - my personal top three moments of the tour have to be ISHFWILF at Wembley 1; Mysterious Ways from the same show or Streets from Sheffield, and I remember how much time I spent watching the Ultra Violet videos from Barcelona 1 in disbelief and wondering whether it would survive the duration of the 1st leg that I'd get the chance to see them play in when they hit the UK.

I think I'm gonna plump with Streets at Sheff., though - real toughie! I just remember feeling that it was the experience I'd been waiting for all these years in the build-up to my first U2 show - I can't find a vid. that gives you the view or the feel I had but this one does justice; I remember how mad the place went when Edge ran around the walkway and just, well, the whole 5 minutes as if it had just happened. Something else...

PS - I can't remember how you embed YT vids lol, if anyone wants to give us a hand!
  5. This has to be THE moment of the 360 Tour so far.

    agreed with this.

  7. This is probably one of the lowest quality videos we'll see in this topic, but mine is from "City of Blinding Lights" at Dublin 1. I was on the rail to the catwalk where Edge's bridge usually stopped, and Bono paused right in front of Remy and I to sing the second verse of the song. A fan behind us (who was dressed like Vertigo-era Bono...very creepy) had taken off his Bono shades to hand to Bono, but couldn't reach the stage. Bono saw the guy reaching and motioned for me to pass the glasses forward to him, so I grabbed the glasses from the look-a-like's hand and handed them up to Bono. He handed me his own glasses, and then put the fans glasses on his face. For a split second, I thought about keeping Bono's glasses for myself, but did actually give them to the creepy look-a-like guy.

So anyways, this clip is the best I can find of this interaction. Unfortunately, the guy shooting the video pans away just before the moment, but you can see the interaction on the bigscreen (at about 2:20)

Also, you can see Remy (white shirt) and myself (green shirt) rocking out at about 3:00 on the far right side of the frame)

That's a truly great story. You did well on giving the glasses to that other bloke..
  9. This has to be the most epic among all of them:

  10. My favorite U2 song, best performance till date and I was there:
