1. I love this setlist, probably my fav so far
  2. Friday morn 9am..."What a nigt What a show" What happens when Blackberry does not hand out 20 000 Free tickets to friends or family = "CROWD PARTICIPATION" What a difference 1 night can make.
I don't know where to begin, for those who will get bootlegs, Bono kept referencing the Condo's that rose above the Stadium and could see in. On a couple occasions during the show he asked those people to participate with not much success I have no idea how much they could actually here. There were flashes from one of the window.

I loved the banter between Edge and Bono before Stuck Edge was having some tech problems and when it was fixed the 2 exchanged some words I couldn't really make out what was said but they were slaggling each other I am sure.

During COBL Bono pulled Lucas on stage I would say he was around 8yrs old. To me when he pulls someone on stage the bond between band and audience is that much stronger Lucas was on stage repersenting the 61999 other fans that were there. He was pulled from the Catwalk on stage Right the 2 went for a jog all the way around the stage, Back in front of the Catwalk Bono sang to him let him put on his glasses turned to the screen to show him he was on the camera's walked a little bit more and finally 3/4 of the was through COBL Lucas ran back to his parents and the song ended, it was brilliant.

In the end I wish theboys played "Bad" like they did in Chicago a few nights earlier it would have made a spectacular night....Incredible amaziing awesome. For those fans of the audio or the video bootleg this is the "MUST" show from Toronto.

Lets hope Toronto 1 is the last time in NA where Blackberry and friends get 20 000 tickets.
  3. I went to the first show Wednesday night with my brother and husband. I cannot put into words how awesome the show was at The Rogers Center. We were sitting fairly close to the stage on the first set of seats that go up off the floor. We were lucky enough to have the CN Tower (aka on u2.com Toronto Tower) right directly in front of us. The lights were dancing to the music on the CN Tower, and it made the show seem like a dream, that you couldn't possibly be seeing this in real life when you add in the unique stage, and the open roof to see the sky. This show will be completely unique to any other U2 show ever because of this. Apparently this is the 2nd show that The Rogers Center has opened the roof for a concert. I urge you to look st pictures of this concert even though pictures don't do it justice. U2 does it again...The show was beyond perfect, and the band played beyond perfect. Never will we see anything like this again. As a faithful U2 member, I will be at every Toronto concert they give us.
I am so thankful to have experienced this...And I was very happy with the set list.
The music, the lights, the energy, the humor, the effects, the fans screaming, the CN Tower, being in the same room with U2, everything, I can't put it into words, except to say perfect...just perfect!!!
  4. I'm back from Toronto!!! I attended the show Wednesday night and it was absolutely amazing. I'll add more thoughts/pics/videos later but I just wanted to say how awesome it was. We wanted to get tickets for last night's show but it didn't work out.

*Also I'm almost sure that Bono threw in a bit of "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" at the end of "I''ll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight".
  5. What's up with all the love for the setlist of the 2nd night?
It's just similar to other nights, with only difference being Mysterious Ways before Beautiful Day (which btw isnt too cool, since the combo Magnificent/BD was pretty okay).
Surely its a nice set, but nothing more or less than other nights methinks...And Bad is missing...
  6. Two awesome nights for myself in Toronto...had the 30 dollar tickets for the first night, and the 2nd day was in the line for 6 hours before gates and wound up right on the walkway at the centre. Can't even put the feeling of seeing your favorite band from 6 feet away, it was truly an unforgettable experience. Band was on top form the first night, and really interacted well with the crowd on the 2nd. Mysterious Ways and New Year's Day were really nice surprises. Woulda been cool if they'd have played desire like they were thinking of doing but i'm not to broken up about it.
  7. it would be my fav setlist if they played Desire like they announced....

I agree....I think the setlist for the 1st night was a lot better. I really wanted to see Your Blue Room live, and End fo the World was freaking awesome live as well. Stay was also great to have in there, a zooropa track is always welcome, a fun one to sing along to. I was there, and it was great. I was actually glad I didn't hear NYD, as I get annoyed of that song quickly. Mysterious Ways would've been cool, and my mom said she would've liked to see STuck in a Moment, but I think Blue Room and End of the World did it for me.
  9. Not my favourite one either. Stuck before TUF and after UC. Seems odd, but surely must have been a great gig.
  10. Any news on a bootleg for the first night?

The acoustic song before TUF might seem odd in theory, but from my perspective it really works when your there, for both Stay and Stuck. Especially with Stuck....the whole crowd went absolutely nuts when Edge came in for the vocal at the end....then it finishes everyones still going wild and the screen drops down as edge sprints from the stairs where he gets his new guitar, to play the piano part of TUF which of course led to the crowd erupting again. It was awesome.
  12. I also feel i should mention that Bono's voice was on absolutely perfect form the last two nights. I would argue some of his top singing of this decade...and not just because i was there. He even says so in that interview with the toronto sun columnist...although we all know to take what bono says with a grain of salt
