Not Army! Air Force. For anyone keeping tabs, I'm hoping to go into Fire protection, which is basicly the military way of saying Fire Department. Also, I'm hoping to try out for Parescue after a few years in. I'd do it right off the bat, but I can't swim that well. Alot of American air bases have pools, so I figure I can learn in my free time. I'll make no false pretenses about my chances of getting into that elite brotherhood though. Last I checked, it has like a 80% washout rate. Still, I think it would be intresting to try. (if you dont know what Parescue is, its probally the most badass profesion in the airforce. They're basicly a cross between the Delta Force, and a Paramedics, elite men trained to go deep behind enemy lines to rescue stranded militray personel in war, or civilians in peacetime (I guess you could also rescue civilians in wartime, and military personel in peacetime also). Of the 22 Air Force crosses that have been awarded to enlisted personel, 12 have gove to Parescuemen.)
