    Whehe..

Heard Bono was full of smiles..
  2. on a side note traffic is horrible and parking is insane $40.00 for stadium and it took 1.5 hours to exit the parking lot....on the good note you could drink and cook outoor right up to the time of the show..gates open at 3 with 5:30 GA admission...

I have a lost of pictures to post.(will do in time... need more sleep.

I agree re: the traffic - I didn't get home to Maine until 5 am. Took 2 hours to get out of the lot for me. Sound quality was decent on the floor - we were about 10 rows back from the ellipse. I actually liked the set, and there was strong crowd participation. It was my 13th time seeing the boys, but first time for four of my friends that went with me. They were all blown away. Maybe it had to do with being on the field - different strokes for different folks.

  3. 5? Yikes. Rest up man, rest up.

A hint of what's to come:

"...Gotta love traffic, then again that's what happens when you play favorites...."

so youd rather have a non sold out gig for the benefit of traffic?

I was worried about this sound problem when I saw a picture of the stadium because of the high reaching levels
it's the same problem like I had when attending the show @ Milano in the upper level

the speakers are angled straight and are not facing upwards, so if seats are above those fictive line, the sound is really bad while in the lower levels and GA section it's brilliant at the same time!

  6. That sux sorry to hear bout the sound issuses over in boston. I'm going to the shows in giants stadium wednsday and Thursday and sitting in the upper section. I remember seeing zoo tv 2 times there and popmart 3 times there and sat in the upper section kinda high but it was still loud as hell. This time I'm up there but in the 3rd row the first night and the second the second night. Hope sound is better for all of you tonight have a great time people!!!!!! Ohhh if anyone of you meet bono or the band please ask him or them if they forgot about the pop album and to play mofo. Have a great time tonight.
  7. I got back from the show this morning at 3:30 AM, and only was traveling about 30 miles from the stadium, so that says something about how bad the traffic was. Also, the GA queue organization was a really bad idea. About an hour and a half before the gates opened, they had a bunch of security guys come through the line and give wristbands to those with GA tickets. This created total confusion and chaos because certain people thought that if they didn't have a wrist band, they would be getting into the GA or that the wristband meant they would be in the inner circle. This led to lots of pushing and shoving and tight spaces, people trying to hand their tickets to these guys coming through the queue with magic markers and yellow wristbands. Just a bad idea all around. So yes, I agree with everyone who talked about traffic and concert organization and the cost of parking, but the concert made up for it.

I waited from about 2:15 until 5:30. There were only about 400 people in front of us, so we ended up getting into the inner circle, which was amazing. We were dead center and about 3 feet from the back of the ellipse, so the band was right there. It was just so amazing to see them in real life, right in front of me. I wasn't expecting to hear Mysterious Ways, so that was fantastic. No Your Blue Room, though. During the Unforgettable Fire, one of the panels on the screen short-circuited, and there were sparks flying when it blew. There was black spot on the screen for the rest of the show where the panel should have been lit. That was pretty crazy, and I wonder if they will be able to fix it before tomorrows show. Speaking of TUF, I really love that song, but I felt the band could have given a lot more. It was still fantastic to hear it live.

The highlight of the show for me was definitely the trio of One - Streets - UltraViolet. One was perfect. I never thought I'd say that post - ZooTV, but it really was. He sang the "Do You Hear us Coming Snippet" and then the Amazing Grace snippet into Streets was perfect. Bono sang two verses, not just the one, and the Streets just sent a bolt of electricity through everyone. The band does such a great job of gettting everyone into the show, and streets was certainly an example of that. Bono seemed to be really happy; the whole band was in great spirits. Lots of smiling and laughing... very cool. Ultra Violet was unreal. I never thought I would see that song live, so being able to catch it last night was a dream come true. It was so haunting, but I do like W.H. Auden's "Funeral Blues" much better as an intro than Mya Angelou's thing. Oh well. Everything about that song is perfect. I couldn't ask for anything else.

All in all, a fantastic show. Tomorrow, let's hope for Bad and UTEOTW.

    cheers

  9. will this be posted in the bootleg section in mp3 format? I somehow can't seem to convert FLAC into mp3, even though I've read up on "how" to do it. Would love to hear this!

  11. This was my first U2 concert EVER! It rocked! Great seats, great people around. Truly a great time. I waited 20 years to see them live and it was well worth the wait. I have lots of pics to share. We drove straight back last night to the very northern tip of Maine and didn't get home till noon! It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get out of the lot last night. Looking forward to listening to the boot and sharing my pics and vids but I really need a nap!
