Like posted in another forum, maybe someone here can help ?
I'm planning to record some of my shows where I have seated tickets. I'm not sure tho which cam to buy (I have a Sony DCR-TRV19E from 2001, 10 opt. zoom "only" so I would buy a new one if my calculations allow it), what other things to care about equipment-wise and stuff like that.
Maybe some experienced taper is willed to share some insightful information, so to speak

Camcorder:
For me some DV quality is perfect, so are MiniDVs - I don't need a HD camcorder.
I need something tiny (I'm afraid to be seen by security !) , that produces a decent image quality in a stadium, also when I am rather far away from the stage.
Also, I read that it's better to use external microphones in order to catch a good audio. I'm not too focused on this matter as I'm quite sure that there'll be some audio bootlegs of my shows which then could be mixed with video material by some talented soul.
I don't want to pay more than 400 Euros for it - the cheaper the better!!
I'd go for a Sony DCR-HC51 (mainly because of money matters) so far. Anyone made experiences ?
Also info about tripods / monopods is welcome, but then most importantly: how do I bring it into in the stadium, and how do I make sure to not being seen by security ?
How to bring the cam into the stadium:
Do you have any recommendations how to best smuggle a camcorder in ? Until yesterday my plan was to pretend I am pregnant and would have the camcorder in a kinda pillow under my T-shirt to make it look like I'm expecting a baby. But someone told me that security usually also touches your belly so I don't know.
There's also the idea of putting it next to your underwear, but I'm not sure if this really works although the camcorder would be small.
As yet I am planning to get a rucksack with me, and to make a kinda second floor under which I hide the cam. To disguise I would also get a slight jacket, a digicam (which should be allowed nonetheless) and a bottle of water to distract the security at the gates.
...Any ideas or recommendations ?
Last but not least: are there people here that are already certain they will film / record audio from the shows ? If so, which ?
I'm planning to record Paris I, Berlin, Göteborg I, (Gelsenkirchen), and Wembley II.
