1. After EVER download,I can not extract,or open the last song from part 1.I download part 2 and the same thing happens to the first song. Its the same song from part 1.This happens to EVER download. The last song has an arrow pointing to the right after the name of the track.A message comes up in a box stating I have to put in a new disc??..All the other songs are fine. They all have the iTunes logo next to them,I double click and they open right into my i Tunes player.Except the last track from download 1,or the first track from download part 2.They both have the arrow. This is usually the Crazy Remix,as its the middle of each 360 show. Can you please give me advice as to what Iam doing wrong. Thanks guys.
  2. Where do you get this arrow? I'm very confused by your explanation, sorry.

You need all parts of a show present on the same location on your harddrive before a successful extraction can occur. After that it's usually plain sailing.

    On Mac or PC?

    Changed forum too...
  3. Dell PC.I know its hard to explain.I download the first part of a show.Part 1.After the download ,the download is in a yellow small folder in WinRar.I click the folder and all the songs from part 1 appear with the blue iTunes logo next to them. The last song when it appears has an arrow pointin to the right. The way I extract each song,is by clicking on the song 2 times. Then it appears in my iTunes and I can listen to it.The problem is that the last song wont transfer..or extract. It says error. That happens to every show for some reason. Then I download part 2 ,and its the first song that I cant download from part 2,but its the same song from part 1.Confusing??.Yes.I dont know what else to do..any help?

In the late 90s, a lot of software which expanded over two discs would askt that; some of the old DOS and productivity software, and games - why WinRAR / Firefox etc still ask for a second disc is a stupid old thing that needs to be fixed by those developers.

Anyway, what it means here is that the disc is equivalent to a second RAR file and that once WinRAR has used the first .rar file successfully it wants the second one to continue. It's an arrow that looks like this: - - - - > or < - - - - which means it needs the .next RAR file.

Once you get each .rar file downloaded:

    - Make sure both .rar files are in the one directory.

    - Double-click to open XXX.part01.rar in WinRAR and highlight all the files (File > Select All).

    - On the big button under File > Command > Tools etc, click Extract To.

    - Choose Destination Path (where you want the files to go) and hit OK. The files should then extract.

    - In the folder you chose, 24 files or more (for the 360 bootlegs) should be in there.

    - Put them in iTunes as you usually do and you should be ready to rock and roll.

Then I download part 2 ,and its the first song that I cant download from part 2,but its the same song from part 1.Confusing??.Yes.I dont know what else to do..any help?

A little, but it's there because to have a .part02.rar, the same song expands from the end to the beginning of the next RAR file and that's how it continues to extract and WinRAR knows that ''Oh yeah, I need .part02 to continue extracting from .part01''.

I think I just confused myself - good luck with my terrible guide. What about if you download a smaller show with one .rar file?
  5. Good stuff Drew.

I suggest you try the recent SNL show as a one-file thing to see how you get on with that.
  6. One download is no problem.Megaupload is one download (Ireland 07-24-09).Its not part 1 and part 2.Thats the problem for me.How do I get the 2 seperate downloads into 1 file?...What I usually do is after I download part 1,I click the track 2 times and it opens in my iTunes and I then burn a cd as part 1.But I have to leave out the last track, usually that is the Crazy Remix, which I dont like so thats ok.LOL.But,seriously I still dont know how to combine the 2 once I have dowmloaded both. Thanks for all the advice.Take care and thanks for all the great bootlegs.
  7. When you download BOTH parts successfully (both files are complete and not corrupt), then go to Part 1 and there will be ALL the files (including the ones in Part 2), extract them all and enjoy, or just play them one by one. But do not go to Part II in order to play the middle-song, go to Part I and you'll get them all there

In most cases part 2 is merely there to help part 1 fully extract. Do nothing with it.

In my program (Stuffit Expander) you just drag then rar folder and drop it on the icon for Stuffit and it does the rest for you. I'm on Mac though and the PC stuff from Drew sounds different.

Don't click on the files themselves. Let the folder be expanded first. The files you get to start with are not mp3's.
  9. Ah...Thanks guys.My bad.I was hitting the OPEN option at the start instead of SAVE.After doing that, all you said made sense. After the download I hit the OPEN FILE.Got all the songs.I downloaded 2 shows with no problem now. Thanks alot.
