1. Well, assuming the shoot in the US, the "big" cities they've already shot in...Boston and Chicago. New York (area) already passed. So big cities left would include Dallas, Atlanta, LA.

LA wouldn't be a bad show I think.
(and I'm not just sayin that because I'll be at that show )

If I'd have to choose between a American city, my choice would be LA too.

  3. Woulda been nice to see a european gig released for a change, cant wait for dvd where ever it is recorded!!

  4. Agree. I thought the crowd for the V tour were shite and it affected the dvd, which I don't think was that good anyway. A South American show would be quality, as would one in Lansdowne Road, Dublin.

I presume Hamish will be back

Agree about the DVD. And agree that Hamish will kill it again..
  6. I don't think they're gonna record any dvd until they've settled the setlist. Besides, all the chances for a 2009 dvd have already passed, because they always film on the second night of a venue (from Zoo TV upwards that is), and New Jersey was the last place to have more than one show.

    generally the film both nights
  8. i think all are taped....the use of lcd screen confirms that....i feel that if a european leg DVD is produced then wembley or berlin would be possible choices due to the stadia and overall look.
but then again the band might not rush it and use one of the American shows as the tour is older and better balanced and co-ordinated with lighting and songs....either way i think we can be sure whatever they decide it will look pretty amazing...i wonder if Hamish Hamilton with have a hand again in the dvd...his work is pretty smooth with the video `(if a little too soft with this band!)...but he does get a decent result in the overall look.(despite looking like chris evans!!)...its a shame brian eno cant edit!!!....i always feel that sometimes with editing U2 it never captures the moments...the editing does not feel that song, so it ends up missing the target...and U2 songs have that in them,,the abilty to say something loud or quiet...the past dvd releases never translate that to the audience...i think live there is no filter so the message becomes clearer.....so whoever edits the dvd i hope they` feel` the music instead of just editing like a machine....after all most people will keep it for a long time!!!!...

i know the stage looks good live, i hope in transfers into the living room well....i also hope that whoever edits the dvd uses more on-stage shots than `eye candy`...simply because with U2 its about the sound...and the energy that somes from it.....not the flashing lights!...sometimes the `glitz` can overshadow the `music`....so it would be cool if we could see that energy delivered by the band instead of the lights!....

    gen.
  9. Anyone seen a chopper flying over? I doubt they won't include a view from above..
  10. There was a helo flying over Soldier Field the first night, that's for sure. But the footage was used in the EPK.
What I think they should do is.... Since they have recorded all the shows, have them available to order from their website, like Pearl Jam or Gov't Mule(GM is download only), but with DVDs. Real basic productions with no fancy stuff, but with a video instead of audio. Have it priced at $20.... and I know I'd buy a DVD from the show I just went to.
  11. I think it all depends on revenue streams....at the moment we have still got another single, the remasters, possibly a new album, more shows etc......so i reckon when all this dries up, the DVD wil be the last thing to be released....so I am gonna say end of 2010 or even early 2011

Also think that there is a possibility that they record a DVD in the new Dallas Stadium

people at the show would have known if they were filming the new york show. from here on it's anyone's guess. But for some reason I don't think they're going to be filming the Oklahoma show
