1. Both nights in jersey was chopers over giants stadium.
  2. Yeah, there was definitely a chopper at Chicago 1. But I doubt they'll be doing 2 Chicago shows in a row.
  3. Why wouldn't they record the OKlahoma show? The stage will dwarf the stadium, the crowd will be amped, since they havent been to Oklahoma since 1983, and hopefully, they will acknowledge that and play a couple of extra songs since they have been away so long. Also awsome angles already set up for cameras since they shoot every football game in the stadium for tv, or at least have since '99.

none of which matters to a U2 shoot sadly.

I still can't see them shooting a show in which they only play one night.. they haven't done it since Zoo TV and i will be shocked if they do it this time, although it seems that's the way they're going
  6. Absolutely nothing to say that any DVD will be recorded on this leg. Using ZooTV as the example they filmed that right at the end of the tour (as they did with Popmart, also filmed on one night; and Slane.....).

Far more sense that it will be on the currently advertised second European leg or any Oceanic leg that they do.

Especially as they obviously lack confidence playing NLOTH material to the American audience.

Yep, I doubt that we'll see a DVD of this leg, too. Would commercially and logically make sense to shoot it next year.

(Sydney, Slane and Mexico were shot on 2 nights btw.)

Did they actually use any of the footage from Sydney 1 and Mexico 1 due to the various issues on those dates?

    (Forgot about Slane.... )

It says that the Slane show was recorded just in one night. At least I just read it In the Slane DVD box...

And just came to my mind that they will only record a DVD with the songs of the new album (next year), but it's hard to say beacuase the WW diary reported they would record something soon...

    Greetings from Brazil

Slane was 100% over 2 nights

  11. At a different gig to me as well! That was the tenth time I've seen the band and by far and away the best. Yes, Bono was a little hungover (in my opinion he was still a little drunk!), but you could tell he was having fun, Edge was loving being back in Wales and Larry and Adam were on top form too. The only reason I could think that they wouldn't choose Cardiff for a DVD is Bono cmpletey fluffed the lyrics at the start of Crazy.

As for what will be the DVD choice - try to find a concert where Bono doesn't make a mistake! If anyone has heard the boot of Mexico City's Popmart they will realise that Larry either dropped a drumstick or broke one at the start of New Years Day. Replacing a dumbeat for the DVD must have been easy because on the DVD there doesn't seem to be any missed beat. Replacing Bono's voice however...that's a totally different story.

And just to clarify - Cardiff was great.
  12. willy wrote this on the 27th september ....

We're going to be shooting this show some time soon, so it's crucial to understand how it looks from all angles and really the only way to do this properly is to get on yer boots and tramp around the stadium.

the question remains, where and when ....
