1. gates just opened in Charlottesville....no proper soundcheck by U2 tonight.

  2. that probably means a similar standard set as DC....hope they bring back No Line tonight
  3. Indeed, unlikely.

I seriously miss early stuff. Tomorrow, October, I Will Follow, Out Of Control... cmon guys, it isnt that hard.

  4. ...as the opening song
  5. Still have hope they'll try Being Born live.some time I think that one would work an particularly as a set opener. And I really hope the bring NLOTH back on the list 'cause it's the best new live song

Your so right, I miss those too. Even no I Will Follow..bring on in A Day Without Me I'd say
  7. Well, it is THE opening, many of us have said it since the album came out... If only they had balls enough...

  8. I don't know if its a question of balls, they're already opening with a tune from the new album that's not a single (Breathe) so i wouldn't think that should be a problem. To tell you the truth i have no idea why they wont try it. As you say it is the opening track from the album..why not open the show with it.

  9. Nothing to do with balls. They tried it, it didn't work. No good idea to start a gig with a midtemp song anyway.

Edit: I should read before I post - nevermind - thought this was about Magnificent.

They've never opened with No Line

No, we were about NLOTH. Many of us have believed it would be the perfect song to start the show. A punch in the face. A rocker. Much better than Magnificent, possibly better than Breathe... But I doubt they would try it ever. Lack of balls, really.
