! A little regret : the concert began with daylight, and the first songs were played before the night came…but I was so happy to finally see them, after all these years ! The sound was louder than for Kaiser Chiefs and it was ok for me…I was happy to hear Bono’s voice, I thought his voice was really great, from the beginning to the end of the show…
! And let me tell you about “Sunday Bloody Sunday”….the whole stadium was illuminated with a green light, and of course, all the crowd was singing ! I particularly appreciated the “MLK” version, played for Aung San Suu Kyi, that was very sober…I was more sceptical when, during “Walk On”, people came around stage with an Aung San Suu Kyi mask on their faces, I thought it was a little bit too much… Other regret too during the “ISS Chat”…for me, that was an unnecessary moment….it could have been pretty cool, but it wasn’t really “live” (the message was recorded) and the rhythm of the show was a little bit “broken”..but all these feelings disappeared when, during an “encore”, they started to play “Ultra Violet” ! One of my favourite “Achtung Baby”’s song, and what a great surprise to hear it live ! For me, one of the best moment in the show, with Bono wearing a “light jacket”, playing with his hanged microphone !
This song was followed by “With or…” and “Moment of Surrender”, which was a perfect conclusion for the show, with people singing “Oh…Oh…Oh Oh..” at the end…no more song after this one, unfortunately, it would have been great…but the band took a little time on stage to say goodbye to the crowd, to thanks, that was cool…
