1. i purchased a shuttle ticket from pcc, but it said "parking fee not included" and they only charged my card $5.00. will they take the fee at the lot on show day or do i have to order general parking online. i'm confused!
  2. pcc will surely have the answer??
  3. I wasn't sure what to do when I got that e-mail about Rose Bowl parking either. If I'm remembering correctly, the shuttles don't start until noon and the parking lot doesn't open until 8am at the stadium. My Mom and I were planning on arriving pretty early since we have GA tickets.

Should we just get a taxi and get there before 8am or should we just purchase parking and get there right at 8am?

    What's everyone else doing?

Sorry if these seem like silly questions. It's my first U2 show and I want it to be as special as possible!

If you're planning on parking at the Rose Bowl (in either the General Parking area [$20], or the VIP/Preferred Parking [$60]), you need to pre-order your parking pass online. These parking spaces are expected to sell out well before the day of the show. Since you are using one of the shuttles, you'll be parking at either the Pasadena City College or Old Town Pasadena, and I believe these are on a first-come, first-served, pay-as-you-enter basis.

p.s. Don't feel like you're the only one confused ~ this whole parking thing has been my biggest obstacle in planning this trip!

  5. My friend and I are flying into Burbank around noon, then picking up our rental car. After checking into our hotel, we'll head to the Rose Bowl. I'm splurging on a VIP/Preferred Parking pass, in the hopes that getting in/out of there won't be quite the nightmare that I'm envisioning. Never been to the Rose Bowl before, so I have no idea what to expect. "Hope for the best.... but be prepared for the worst." LOL

This will be our first U2 show too. It only took 26+ years, but somehow the planets all finally aligned in the proper order.
  6. buying my parking pass this week, getting there at 8am when the lots open
  7. i also purchased a shuttle pass. the $5 fee is only for the shuttle, you will still need to pay for parking either at the parking structure in OLD TOWN or parking lot at PCC, i'd imagine $10-$15. Apparently they are supposed to be pretty fast since they have private roads to get fans in and out of stadium (thats what the webpage states). Hope this helps.
  8. thanks all...mostly for being confused like me! show day, i'm 3 hours' drive from l.a. so don't plan on getting to the shuttle lot until around 2. hope all goes great and we get an epic show tonight! saw my first show on the unforgettable fire tour, so it's been a great ride all these years...
