1. Other that stating the obvious...they're the most talented rock band in history, as I anticipate w/every fiber in my body my concert MONDAY, I think I'm realizing why I love this band so damn much. I'm 41 and

I can listen to any U2 album going all the way back (all the way) and there are songs that evoke powerful emotions and memories from every single stage of my life (well, since about age 13 or 14.)

This defines what I think of as the gift of this band to the world. There is a reason they endure-keeping original fans and aquiring new ones with each new album.

Their talent is beyond amazing, they are awesome, good guys in general,

I could go on... I don't know which songs in this tour will bring me to my knees, but I'm sure there will be a few. I've been waiting for 6 long long months and on Monday 10/12 my wait ends.

This is certainly not my first U2 concert but I just don't recall every be as excited as I am this time.

Maybe it's because my awe for them increases a little with each new album. I find myself thinking shit, they've done it again, another amazing album.

I don't know why this surprises me every time, but I guess I think surely they can't surpass the last album, but they do. Every time. Maybe I sound fanatical. I am. Isn't that what makes a someone a fan? For the last week my anticipation of this show has been 24/7.

I can't wait and as soon as I return to earth, I'll miss it. I will be on a high for at least a month.

Call me crazy. That's how I feel right now. Down on that stadium floor with my fellow U2 friends I've never met. If you love U2, you're my friend. I can't wait!!!!!
  2. Welcome

Anyway, why does this topic look retarded?
  3. somethings not right
  4. Welcomee! Then we're all your friend
  5. great introduction. I feel the same way. I just got saw them twice this past week. my 4th and 5th time seeing them. they are ridiculously talented. Just made another friend!
  6. you won't be disappointed, gopup! i just saw my 37th show in atlanta and it was everything and more! great memories for me as well, going all the way back to the beginning. and another reason to love this band... only they could perfect the art of making a 70,000 seat stadium feel almost as intimate as that nightclub setting of 29 years ago! Seems like there is not a bad seat in the house, but I hope you have floor tickets my friend, as you have carte blanche to roam about and plenty of space to do it!!

wish i was still in a position to travel to multiple shows, because I'm dying for more already!
  7. GREAT GREAT GREAT topic.

I would make it sticky even if it is clearly forbidden.

    I loved it.

We all should remember every now and then that we're here (in the forum, I mean - some of us even in the world) because we love this four guys.
    Don't forget it
  8. Welcome!

(ps what was the topic title before hand?)
  9. So you love U2 in general, if I understand right?

I'm seeing them in Dallas, and now, I think I'm going to really try to go to the concert in Norman, OK because I don't think it's too far from DFW.
