1. It is a great song. I think everyone just has a problem with the "set" setlist night after night.
There are other acoustic songs they could play or attempt

Such as Please acoustic...Stuck gets alot of the blame for the overall saturation of the set with ATYCLB songs. Hopefully they'll ditch most of them save for Beautiful Day on the next legs

  4. Hey!!! I'm in Dallas now Getting ready for the next show!! Agh.... I'm really very nervous! The stadium is soooooo HUGE!!!!

I did mke it in the inner circle!! We were in a perfect spot for the bridge/catwalks. Everytime they moved they stopped in a perfect place for us to see!! It was Amazing!!!!!

Also got to see the convoy of the band pass by. The band was late getting to the stadium so we didn't get to see Bono but he did wave at us and smiled as he passed by. I have a picture of his hand and of his personal body guard telling us Bono wasn't coming out to see us!! I'll probly be posting pics on facebook when the rush is over and i get home!!!
    Agh..... I can't believe I'm going again!!

Would it be too much to ask for "Staring at the Sun" acoustic. That would be a nice break.

  6. A picture of Bono's hand...is it made from gold?

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or under the generic "U2 live audience" thread. For the time being, I decided on this thread. If you think it's better off over there, we can do that, of course.

I was at the show, on the floor. At first, I ended up in front of the outer catwalk, on Edge's side, because I had been talking to some people and had forgotten about my plan of just hanging back until the show starts (standing around too long is bad on my lower back, and thus I paid the price when I tried to walk back to my car, after the show). So, I made the mistake of remaining there until Vertigo, not noticing that I would be better off in the middle, farther back, where the "bloody sunday pit" was, until my brother alerted me to that fact. Over there, I found some people who shared my enthusiasm, and we proceeded to tear it up, beginning with "I'll go crazy".

I was pleasantly surprised that at a Tampa show, there would be people like this, at all - I just wish I had known about that before spending half the show in the wrong place. Nevertheless, from my perspective, the rest of the crowd didn't seem to be so into it, WHICH is why I am bemused, for the second day in a row, reading reviews on u2gigs and u2tours, who praise the crowd participation, a handful even calling it among the top u2 concerts they've seen. I'll continue reading them as they come in, but, checking youtube footage, I can't tell too much, yet. Obviously, 99% of it is focused on the band, 99% of the time.

So, what are you all's thoughts on this?

Thsi was my 4th North American Show of this leg, and I thought the crowd for as big as it was didnt really get into the new songs as well as say Chicago. They loved the hits but MOS had nobody really singing the OH's part. It was a good show but the heat got to Bono and his voice and energy around mid-show. He took his leather jacket off for One and Streets but you could just tell the 90's in October was a bit much. During Elevation bridge he sung "the heat will knock u off your feet". My wife and two friends who have never seen them live thought it was the best ever. I thought Raliegh was better. Until the end of the world was great and MW rocks early in the set. Great night, like the new intro video for UV, sad though last show off the year.
