No Line On The Horizon gets stuck in your head more easy, and that seems to be standard for a succesfull single (shamefull enough).

People cant sing along with Breathe, they can with NLOTH.

My experience of seeing it live would say otherwise. All around me in every concert I've seen people have been belting it out. I think 'Breathe' live is the perfect opener for this tour. It's the song of people who don't have to give a damn what anyone thinks any more, grown-up pop without being the dread adult MOR. IMHO it's probably one of the best songs on the album, certainly better than the disco fluff of 'Magnificent'.
  2. I like Breathe, with it's soaring multi-part chorus. I think people don't take to the rapid fire verses which are harsher and make the song seem uncohesive.

Dont get me wrong, I agree with you
Couldnt have had a better opener

But that statement you quoted was about a possibility of it being a single...and that is not gonna happen methinks.
  4. Perfect opener, when those drums hit I get chills.

    You're almost right.
  6. I enjoyed it live. Belting out the 'Ev-ry Day I' parts was great

That's what I get for not reading far enough back in the thread :-/

I agree, I think Breathe has buckley's of being released as a single.

I really love Larry's little solo opening the show.
