1. By the way and back to the topic.
Right now I'm listening to the Joshua Tree, all three versions I have (standard consumer cd, MFSL, 2007 remaster).

Somewhere in this or another threat I said the JT remaster really is tastefully done and I don't take that back. The Boy, October, War remasters are horrible in my opinion but the JT remaster is really done very carefully if you ask me. Yes, I like the MFSL pressing better, but for some tracks I hardly hear any difference (MFSL ISHFWILF is noticably better, for some other tracks I have to listen really carefully to hear a difference).

So to say, in my modest opinion, there is still hope the Unforgettable Fire was done tastefully, maybe the engineers stayed close to the original sound and only tried to enhance what needed to be enhanced which is a good thing, maybe they tried god know what and fucked it up badly like they did with Boy/October/War. Anyway, one can't go wrong with MFSL and one can't do really a better job, if you ask me.

As soon as it is available, I'm really curious to hear what people think of the UF remaster.

EDIT so it would've been at least as good and easier and cheaper, in a word just better to just repress the mfsl versions instead of remastering war, TUF & JT.

and? satisfied? prefer the mfsl master(s) over the official remasters.

  6. yes prefer it over the original and remaster. Nice and heavy sound to it. I need to mess with my players EZQ though to get the best out of it.
  7. Bad from MFSL is so so good. That Bass drum. Wallop!!

  8. that would be so great if DIsappearing Act leaked today.
