  1. I went into this movie thinking I was gonna be bored. i'm not much of a gear head and, despite being married to one, I find musicians talking about music a little boring. But it ROCKED!!! I loved it. Watching Edge go all FanBoy when Jimmy Page went into "Whole Lotta Love" was awesome!!!

    And watching Jimmy Page air guitar to ... erm... what was that one he played in that room with all the white bookshelves...? That was cool too. Also, watching them go back to "where it all began" was fun.

    She also said that they played more tunes together than what are in the film. She pointed out that the other tunes were great too but they felt the 3 that they used for the film worked together.

    What were the other three tunes (from each band) that were played? All three played:

    Kashmir by Led Zeppelin
    Seven Nation Army by White Stripes
    and
    Bullet The Blue Sky by U2.

    They said the other songs plus LOADS more footage will be DVD extras when that is released.

  4. I saw it tonight, and I loved that part. The look too on Jack and Edge's faces when Jimmy played the Whole Lotta Love riff...like kids in a candy store. Great great movie. Loved hearing those amazing riffs from all three of them with the surround sound of the cinema.
  6. If you have the "It Might Get Loud" DVD, you will learn something fun...

    In the film there is a picture of the window of Stuyvesant Music Inc. In that picture of the store window, you see an Explorer bass.

    But it then cut to a show of INSIDE a guitar store. In that picture of inside of a guitar store is actually inside of Stuyvesant. THAT Explorer shown hanging on the wall in the picture is apparently the exact Explorer that The Edge bought.

    The IMGL producers and director mention that they saw the picture of the receipt in U2 By U2. They found the owner of the now closed store. The owner said that he took pictures every week of what was on the wall to keep records. He looked at the picture of Edge's receipt, went to his files and produced that picture for the Director/Producers of IMGL.

    So that is sort of cool/sort of fun.

  9. I cant find the DVD ANYWHERE Its been like 2 weeks since its been out but its not at any nearby Best Buy or any other store. Im getting annoyed cuz my winter vacation is ending and i wanna blast it on my new blue ray player!!!!

  11. The DVD came out on the 22nd. I went to Best Buy on the 22nd but they didn't have it. The store staff were clueless as to what I was talking about. The guy said he'd look it up. Yet each time I said "it is called IT-MIGHT-GET-LOUD", the store clerk typed in GET IT UP.

    WTF?!?!?!?

    Anywho... cheaper at Amazon anyway! DVD is $16.99/Blu-Ray 17.99 - or at least they were when I ordered it on December 24th.

    At the LA Film Festival and opening night of the film in LA, they said they had hours and hours of extra scenes - so that they could easily put 4 hours of bonus features. They didn't, so I have to say that was mildly disappointing.

    And while the director and producers mentioned that all three played "Bullet The Blue Sky" together, they didn't put that in the extras. That said, they did at the sound check bit of Edge playing Bad, Pride and Until The End Of The World.
