Which is why pretty much every single U2 cover really sounds horrible. It has nothign to do with whether or not the cover aritst can hit the notes, or whether or not the guitarist can sound like Edge or even do his own thing, it's that U2's songs are written FOR Bono's voice. No U2 song sounds right if he's not in there.
