    Well it wasn't a brilliant venue by any means (seated ones never are!). It was huge inside and had a balcony as well. I think it could hold at least a couple of thousand but I could be wrong on that. The shows I saw there over the years were great though. My favourite ones will always be The Ramones, Blondie, The Damned and although it was taking ones life into ones hand, the Sham 69 farewell show was a complete blast.

    The seating was a real distraction and the Clash had asked if the front few rows could be removed for their White Riot Tour show. Of course the owners of the building said no and so Strummer and Co. set about encouraging the crowd to tear the seats out! To the sounds of 'London's Burning' the place was wrecked!!

    The Jam show you mentioned I think that might have been the one where they had The Vapours as support band.
