release the first single at the end of summer and do all the promotion work then have the album in shops in time for christmas. get the tour started early the bnext year, hit the european stadiums in summer, sell shit loads of tickets etc. its perfect (for making money)
  4. That makes sense.

You know the money we spend on merchandise, cds, tickets etc does any of it go to some of the charities the band supports, or does it stay within the band, production team etc.

It's well known that U2 spends some of his cash on charity.
Word is that during the Vertigo tour each member of the band (including Paul McGuiness) spend 1 million dollar (or euros) on charity (probably Africa).

And about that U2 never release an album again outside the fall, that's a quote from Paul McGuinness.

It's quote said after PoP-PoPMart's mistake.

I love when Paul McGuinness states wise sentences.

And I think fall is indeed THE month for U2 to release their albums.

  8. Wait until November 2008??

    No way.

Well, time will tell. Maybe we will see a sort of a "Passengers Vol.2" with Eno and Lanois.
