I agree. It was the low point both nights I went in NY. It had a lot more energy as a closer wen I seen them in 2001. I do love the snippet at the end though.
Only going from recordings and videos, the one in Glasgow was the best yet.
If only they remembered how good it was on Elevation and did it in that style in that sort of sound - the single version is the one I mean. This current way is a bit boring and uninspired and just doesn't do it for me. And the worst thing is a boring version of a potentially great song ruined by lack of interest - they're doing it for Sung Kyi so why not put some fucking passion into it?
I also think the band must have found a copy of ATYCLB in the garage - seriously, FIVE songs from that album and nearly all the worst, and yet six from your new album, which if they bothered to try Stand Up the audience might recieve that one a lot better, mainly because they want to hear something funky and catchy. None of the reunion songs bar Elevation are that.
