  2. Nah, I'm on contract, but just a cheap and cheerful £25 a month one, so some of the more 'premium' handsets are out of reach.

    Not bothered by touchscreen but doubt I'll like it compared to the touch?

    possibly. For cheaper touchscreens you are looking at resistive screens rather than the uber sensitive one on the touch.

    The 6600 mentioned above is a safe bet. If you are wanting a solid camera phone the Samsung G800 ticks all the boxes with its 5mp and Xenon Flash

  6. N900 is one sexy phone. Wont buy it though, dont use my phone that much so its on the expensive side for me.

    N900 is just a test bed for the OS (Maemo5). The first Maemo 6 device will be about within 6 months. And the N900 is an 'internet device' first and a phone second.
  8. i know. I love that it is an open platform. As a developer it sounds very prommissing. A lot of existing linux ARM apps can be recompiled for maemo. I also expect a huge modcommunity
