I've attended Amsterdam I and the Sheffield show. I enjoyed them both a lot - well, that's an understatement. I'm mainly concerned about the music I hear, when I listen to a boot. In this respect, I find the Pasadena show a bit disappointing (with exceptions, e.g. IALW). I prefer much more Amsterdam I to Sheffield, so I've listened the former many more times than the latter, even though I've enjoyed both shows immensely.
  2. have to say though. watched the gig in a loop. not THAT bad. pretty good, raw rock show. Its a better gig than the early Europe ones. Not musically, but it runs smoother. They are used to the songs. Thats the only thing that bothers me when listening to Amsterdam I/II. It didnt flow. However all the songs were nailed, but it was more a show than a concert. Now its a really good concert.
  3. I agree - the setlist now is great, I think. But the voice let me down, and I knew it was bound to happen. It seemed better in the last few bootlegs, and I was hoping for more...
  4. I think we all kind of suffer from over analyzing every single aspect of every show instead of just enjoying the overall product. We all want the perfect concert that's the combination of every great bootleg that we have all ever heard. It's not going to happen. It's tough when you've listened to hundreds of concerts because you compare everything to the best.

Last night was a really cool night and a really great concert. Not one of the best concerts u2 has ever played but if you enjoy it for what it was, instead of thinking about how you wanted it to be the perfect dvd ever, i think it'll be a much more enjoyable watch.

  5. by far the best performance of Magnificent on the tour. Still not a great live song.
  6. Well, I was there and I thought they were very, very good.

As for the crowd, what do people want? A Paul McCartney concert DVD where 50% of the footage is of crying fans? Rose Bowl GA seemed quite passionate about the show.

  7. I loved No Line <3 bono like talks the lines 'every night i have the same dream...' verse it sounds great .

Also loved Elevation which is a song i dont really care for.
  8. The In God's Country snippet is sooooo good! I loved it last night and I'm loving it more now!

You cannot judge it based on a webcast, You cant say that Dublin 2 or Amsterdam 1 or Chicago 2 are better than the other unless you where actually at the shows. People are abusing bootlegs and clips online. Im sure if Houston 1 had an amazing audience recording everyone would praise it as the show of the tour. Last nights show was easily as strong as PopMart or Slane in regards to setlist and bonos voice. The only true way to judge a show is if they were all filmed and we saw them or where at the show. Other than that it is all purely subjective.

FLV won't play on an iPod. You might need to convert it from FLV to MP4.
